This site is a great find. It is a Neolithic Site whose inhabitants did not have ceramic or bronze - they were stone age dwellers. Why is this so important? This village demonstrates human beginning to form the basis of society -- dating back to 7000 BCE. This site is one of the most important sites in all of Cyprus.... More

Visiting here was just a little surreal t think these excavations were so old was impressive. Was very peaceful and the guard at the gate was very friendly and informative. Worth the visit and small climb

Not so many places in the world you can see how people used to live 5-7 thousand years ago. This is the one. Everyone, who tackles history matters needs to go there. There is a very nice Cyprus local restaurant near by. You can compliment your journey with a great local lunch.

Wow, with the origins starting back in 7000 BC and well preserved to boot you cant go wrong with a visit here. Easy to get to and a small walk but the circular structures can still be easily made out with out too much imagination required. Only one comment is that a little more information would have been good but... More

Altho relatively small, this is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the eastern Mediterranean. It was occupied from the 7th to the 4th millennium B.C.. Pretty amazing when you walk those same steps today. I am not really sure why some sites in Cyprus (or any where, actually) are granted “enhanced protection” in the event of armed conflict.... More

Amazing what they were able to do all that time ago, and there is a great deal of remaining stonework which gives some impression of what the original site must have looked like. Great view from the top towards the back of the site.

We went here on a rainy day and just happened to be in the area. However, I'm glad we did as it was very interesting and worth the visit. Lovely views from the top of the hill and the information was quite detailed.

I fully agree with most of the reviews. The place is well prepared for tourists. Toilets, good parking, nice paths etc. It's v.good that at the bottom of the hill some restored huts were build as it adds to the experience. The site itself shows how people lived ages ago but as the site is small and as one could... More

Have to agree with other reviewers. The site is genuinely interesting. This is an ancient site, before the pyramids, and it was been well excavated and it is clear where the houses were, and the replica houses bring it all to life a little. However the information to support this is really lacking. Where are the model people showing ancient... More

Worth a stop if you are driving by, the ruins themselves are impressive but there is just a lack of useful information, the only leaflets they had were in Greek and French, the display boards had very dry descriptions and the replica village had hardly any information up at all.Having been to other UNESCO world heritage sites it was disappointing,...
