A great day out in a well preserved site, a little bit more comprehensive guide books would be a bonus.

These ruins are not as extensive as Kourion or Salamis, but for those who appreciate ancient history, they are fascinating. These ruins go back to Phoenician times and the displays at the site are informative. A visit to the nearby archaeology district museum is also worth considering. We came here from Protaras for just 1.5 Euros each on the local... More

We walked from the city center to kition, the walk was amusing but when we saw kition, it was really a couple of stones in a dig site. there isn't much to do here except spend 2.5 euro per person to enter. stay away, if you want to see some ruins then go to greece.

If you like history you'll enjoy just being here - thousands of years of time passing under your feet. Well signposted and lots to read about the history of Larnaka from its early times. Go early morning or later in the day to keep out of the heat though!

This one is spread over several areas of town, and Larnaca covers much of the old city in any event. Not well marked. Does not tell the story well.

This site is currently being upgraded with more information boards recently erected. Nevertheless, there is no guide book or leaflet and this would be no more than about 30 minutes of interest hidden away in the city centre of Larnaca. UNless you are an expert on the history/culture, not much to see.

it seems like the site is abandoned, no ticket office, no information board, not what I've expected from such an old and famous historical place.
