This church is a great example of ancient architecture. It has hand painted images of Saint Lazarus and other such saints. Well worth a visit and to the services which are attended by the high priests of Cyprus.

If you are in larnaca you should really go and visit the chapel for historical interest as well as to see a typical Greek church. Some amazing old and beautiful Icons. I am not religious but I can appreciate the architecture

Fabulous inside and out!! I visit larnaca 2-3 times a year and live close by this church- no visit to Cyprus would be complete without this. The relics of St Lazarus are on display. Beautiful.

In my opinion it is one of the best place to visit in Larnaca. Courious outside architecture and absolutely amazing inside. No entrance fee.

Saint Lazarus church it's an impressive monument in the city of Larnaka. The interesting thing about this church and also with the mosque nearby shows the connections between the Muslims and the Christians.

This is a wonderful place, it is very impressive. The intricate nature of the interior is an amazing site. It is beautifully kept and clearly both hugely important and special to the people in Cyprus and those fortunate enough to visit. It has a calmness and serenity which is an experience in itself. It is expected that visitors dress appropriately... More

Every time I enter Ayios Lazarus I feel a great energy going through my mind and my body. First of all the building with its heavy and thick walls are impressive. Then, the history of the church makes you think about the long history of the cypriot civilization and how close they are with the religion. Underneath the church, you... More

This is the church, where it is claimed that Lazarus was buried after dying a second time. The first time he died he was apparently resurrected by Jesus (according to John) and then Lazarus came to Cyrus to die again. His remains were removed from Ayios Laza some time in the 8C and then after being looted again 13C appear... More
