Old church

Very special old church, with splendid icons. Very interesting religious services in the eastern week, except the eastern sunday when the church was closed.

The chruch is on the main square, and also there is St lasaruz relics, and tomb under ground the church. As st Lasaruz was a friend of Jesus, and he was the one who resurrected after 4 days death. The church is well maintain.

A quite pleasant square surrounds the church itself, and I had cypriot coffee in one of the cafeterias there, taking pictures of the church.

A Greek Orthodox Church in a central location of Larnaka, about 3 minutes walk away from the beach. Entrance is free, not only to the church but also to the cellar with Lazarus' tomb. The iconostasis is particularly nice. We were lucky to see the 1 April festivities on the square that surrounds the church.

It's perfectly located in the city centre and can't be missed. This is definitely the main icon of Larnaka and must be seen, including the tomb of St Lazarus which you can walk into through the church.

There is some excellent architecture in Larnaka and Ayious Lazarus is one of the finest examples of it. A beautiful small church definitely worth visiting.

Being not really religious, I can't say a lot, I liked it for architectural value. Basically in the centre, this place is clean and nice and quiet. I liked sketching it at night. Its coolness can save you during long hot hours.

This church is absolutely beautiful. It stands tall in the middle of the busy city of Larnaca and it's surrounded by cafes and shops. It's architecture and design are stunning. It's definitely worth a visit.
