Despite it being a small church we made a couple of visits to Ayios Lazarus. It's utterly charming and so beautifully decorated from the huge candelabra to the richly gilded iconostasis. Coverings are provided at the door for those not appropriately dressed but it's still a very relaxed and relaxing place.

Walking distance to most tourist accommodations in Larnaka. The church is an exceptional example of Byzantine art and icons. If you are not able to go to Troodoos to visit the monastries and churches there, then this is a must visit.

This is the church I like to attend Greek Orthodox services at when I visit family in Larnaca. With the tomb of Lazarus below and the beautiful stonework and icons, it really is a marvellous place. Don't forget to have three sips of spring water from the tap in the tomb.

Here, I refer to the actual square, and not only the church itself. It is worth spending some time having your coffree in the square and people watching...

It is a church, yet another one, not too special except that tomb of Mister Lazarus. To be honest, if you are not intersted in history or religion it is not worth going there, you won't spend more than a minute there looking at standard things.

It is interesting place of worship. After returning to the live, resurrected by Jesus Christ, Lazarus moved to the south coast of Cyprus. Here, according to records, he was the first bishop of Kition - currently Larnaca - and its saint patron. And here he was buried You can find there true relics of Saint Lazarus.

This is one of the most famouse places in Larnaca, but I really don't know why! A small and ordinary orthodox church on a very small spot of land in the centre of the city. Typical architecture, nothing interesting to see or to take photos of. So if you are not religious, you will be disappointed. Just a waste of... More

This is a beautiful old church and worth a visit whether you're religious or not. Inside is an anachronism as there is segregated seating for men and women which is interesting to see.
