Lovely to see the boats in the harbour- even saw a green turtle which was magical. Get lots of hassle to go on boat trips and eat in bars, but mostly friendly. Could sit and people watch in harbour in evenings which was lovely. Castle well worth a visit- even if just to take pictures of the harbour. Lots of... More

lots of restaurants, boat trips, history & shops nearby. Not keen on being pestered to come into the restaurants or have a boat trip though.

Kyrenia harbour really impressed us: although commercialised, there are no skyscraper hotels but many small cafes and restaurants. The restaurants do tout for business but not unpleasantly, and the restaurants vary from average to very good. It's a mainly traffic free zone. Many of the places also run boat trips along the coast in classic style turkish gulets. These, and... More

This is a lovely small harbour fringed by restaurants/cafes and looks especially nice at night. it was nice to walk around as there are no cars and there is none of the more or less aggressive requests to eat/go on boat trips that can be common elsewhere. Try eating in one of the roof-top restaurants at night.

The harbour is quite pretty, a very pleasant evening walk. Mainly made up of cafes and bars, the music can be a bit intrusive but its possible to get away from the loudest ones. Most of the cafes serve very similar types of food and charge the same prices.

Ignore all the pestering to eat by over exuberant waiters etc. The place is outstanding both during the day and a buz during the evening.

Amazing setting. Harbour beautiful. All of the restaurants edge on to the water of the harbour, Busy place, great for people watching any time of the day. Excellent place for a snack, or an evening dinner. Prices all seem very reasonable for a top holiday resort.

Like a lot of medterranean harbours this is THE place to go to enjoy a drink and watch the harbour life. Overlooked by the castle. Lots of boats, cafes and pleasant people.
