Girne harbor is trully authentic. Buildings surrounding the harbor is beautiful and old. it is nice walk around. castle is at the end of the harbor. there are many restaurants and you can pick any of them. a walk in harbor, visiting the castle takes around 1 hour. must see.

Pleasant walk as a prelude to going to dinner in downtown Kyrenia. The water is clear. A good spot for some people watching as it appears that this is where everyone who is visiting congregates.

The harbour here is really picturesque and charming. It was replete with decent restaurants and eateries. Be careful about driving into the back streets above the harbour though, particularly if you have a big car as the tiny streets there are a warren of one-ways and dead ends.

If you can get a hotel on the harbor, do it -- the views are nice and listening to the waves lap on the harbor's rocks is a great way to relax or fall asleep.

Good place to sit back enjoy a drink or meal and watch the world go by. We went in January and found that most of the cafes were open at the harbour but a little expensive for the time of year.

Very quiet on visit, peaceful and a tranquility on it's own. Most enjoyable. Liked the surroundings immensely.

An average attraction. The best bit was the walk along the harbour but generally very tourist and full of over priced fish restaurants. Much better to find local places to eat off the beaten teach in town, delicious and better value for mobey

I was disappointed in Kyrenia - it is being taken over by tourists and you have to go well out of town to appreciate the beauty of Northern Cyprus. The harbour buildings are historic but now taken over by cafes etc. There is an excellent shop for Turkish Delight called "Sweety" if you can find it down the alleyways! the... More
