We much preferred this island to the ones off of Olhao. The olhao ones are a little built up and take a little longer by boat. Whereas for Ihla da Fuzeta, it was a shorter boat ride and more natural. Enjoy a couple of hours on the beach and then eat at one of the great restaurants in Fuzeta. A... More

Cool, clean, fun beach. This is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been on. Its spotless, sand is pure white. The beach bar to the left as you enter the beach is well worth a visit..very cool, wacky vibe. Toasted sandwiches are incredible and only cost 3.50euro. The music is very chilling, the seats and tables are cool... More

If you visit Fuzeta ensure you get the ferry across to the island, it's a 5 minute journey and cost us less than €5 return - we would spend most of the day and return on the last boat at 8:30. 3/4 places to eat and food is very nice and very cheap - the water is lovely and warm... More

Take the first boat in the morning and prepare yourself to enjoy a lazy day at the Island. The beach is covered by relly clean white sand, and even though a lot of people go there, you can always manage to find a great spot to get a tan. I recommend taking some protection because the sun is unforgiving. Besides... More

Nice stretch of sand with some great bars. Semi-party vibe, but still relaxed enough to enjoy with kids.

Great day at a very clean beach! Ultra fine sand, great water temperature and nice bistros. Last but not least hot portugese women ;)

I went there with my wife and the dog. Fuzeta is a small town inside the Algarbe Region. The beach belongs to Ria Formosa (a Natural Reserve). We saw a lot of fish, crabs, mussels. Pure Life, just walking into The Ria, without wearing any goggles. Clear water. There is a boat to cross the Ria which takes you to... More

I've been going to this beach on the island for over a decade. Some years ago, the winter storms demolished a lot of the buildings, and POLIS programme, did the remainder. It's now even cleaner and organised. Short ferry boat trip from mainland. It's always been awarded the blue flag, which gives us a little extra peace of mind

We have visited this beach many times over the years - even swam here one Christmas in the off-season. Reached by boat from a well-maintained jetty, a wooden walkway leads to the crest of the dunes where, in the Summer, beach thatched umbrellas shield you from the strongest midday sun. Take bottled water with you and spend a few hours... More
