We have visited this beach many times over the years - even swam here one Christmas in the off-season. Reached by boat from a well-maintained jetty, a wooden walkway leads to the crest of the dunes where, in the Summer, beach thatched umbrellas shield you from the strongest midday sun. Take bottled water with you and spend a few hours... More

In the summer months, you can get there by public boat, for a litle more than 1 €, one way. But there are also water taxis. It's just a 5 min ride. You'll see neverending sand and almost any people at all (if you walk to the right), but you can also stay in a concession area, where there is... More

Went over on the ferry at 9.30 and returned at 12.30, walked for 3 hours and didn't meet a sole except a naked man! This must be the nicest beach I have ever been on in Portugal, even beats Falesia Beach. We were lucky in that the weather was gorgeous in mid October.

As you wind your way from the 125 to the town of Fuzeta, some 15 miles east of Faro off the 125, do not give up as it looks like you are going into the backstreets of now where THEN all opens up into a very well maintained and visitor friendly quay and small beach area with small hut cafes,... This beach was my favorite of three I visited in the area. Clean beautiful and not crowded. 1.60 gets you a ferry ride both ways. There is board walk up the dunes to the beach. I used the bar on the right for umbrella and chair all day for 5€ . Good sandwich choices, excellent bar drinks, music and running... More

My wife and I had a great day here. Got the ferry over and hired some sunbeds. When the tide went out we walked along the lagoon north or to the left as you arrive by the ferry. 30 minutes will take you to the end of the island and its fabulous sandy pools.

The little boat ride over to the beach is lovely. The beach itself is beautiful. It is clean and well organised and if you walk a little further you can get a quiet spot all to yourself. The cocktails at the ibar beach bar are delicious and the sandwiches very tasty.

Such a beautiful beach, very similar to the beaches in my home country Brazil, it's just a shame that the water is not Mediterranean therefore you may have to experience a VERY cold swim.
