This is a very distinctive building, designed by I.M. Pei in the newer, government/diplomatic quarter of the city, across the ravine from the old city. The exhibit on display in July 2015 focused largely on artists with scientific/mathematical interests, not really our cup of tea but worth seeing.

Perhaps it is also because I am not into the very liberal part of Modern art, but most of what was exposed did not speak to me particularly. The building is nevertheless very impressive (also in rain/thunder!) and if you are into modern art in its most free form it is worth a visit. Prices are very acceptable and students... More

I have been over and over to the Mudam and it never disappointed me. The location and building are just beyond marvellous, the collections are always surprising and mind-blowing. All his in the very relaxed environment that the Mudam is. Even the cafetaria (try the home-made desserts!) is definitely worth visiting. But if you have children, please look/wait for the... More

This relatively small museum has it all; interesting exhibitions, remarkable architecture as well as a beautiful setting. We recommend taking the guided tour of the museum to learn more of the story behind this interesting place.

I love the Mudam in Luxembourg, I have been there so many times and I just dont get bored of this place. The first reason why its great is because of the architecture,it is very unique and makes already the place special. I recommend you to get the guided visit, so the guide can explain many interesting facts about the... More

..then it's worth the walk/bus 1 or 16. The building itself is something to admire. The cafe is great and the views of the city are tremendous. If possible, walk down into the valley to the old town ..circa 10 minutes and then the lift back up into the city.

Exhibitions are sometimes interesting and sometimes nothing special, it really depends on the moment, while the architecture -from outside- seems to be a mix of an industrial building and a glass church. The park around it is enchanting on a sunny day and the panoramic view over the old town quite impressive.

I admit that going to visit this museum wasn't high on my agenda during my stay in Luxembourg but on our last day we had time to kill before our flight home and the other half loves a bit of modern art so it seemed like a good plan. I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the building itself is.... More

Interesting and beautiful museum. Collection is great as well. Even worth a visit for the building on its own. A bit unsettling that the museumstaff follows you around everywhere you go in the museum but understandable since the art that's displayed is mostly from private collections. Recommended!

This is a relatively small museum hidden behind the philharmonic but designed beautifully. Take some time to check it out.
