It is a great building. However, the collection and exhibitions are not very exciting. The brunch in the museum's cafe is interesting but not very tasty and not very fresh.

The museum is a little perl. We saw a fountain springing with black ink, elegant trees of metal and a carpentry workshop in a blue room. The workshop made entirely of raw pieces of wood. Everything made in honor of the artists father. The sight will remain in my memory for a long time. Thank You for a lovely sunday... More

I was alone in Luxembourg city the last two days and the Mudam was the perfect place to visit. One has to have an open mind when viewing modern art. I found it refreshing to have young people at each room to ask any questions. Some of the displays I just shook my head at, but it got a reaction... More

Visiting Mudam Luxembourg is among my city favourites. The architecture is ingeniously designed to allow daylight to reach almost every-corner of the building. The works are displayed with enough space in between allowing the visitor to enjoy each work independently. The permanent collection is not extensive but has some quite unique pieces such as the "Steel Cathedral" and interesting temporary... More

I went to see the collection Damage Control... exposition overall was average... I found the concept too abstract; specially the Yoko Ono movie. Art is suppose to raise a reaction on the viewer and here the reaction for most of the pieces presented is: mmmmm......puzzled...am I not smart enough in order to understand that?? The movie of the nuclear detonations... More

Actually, the art collection is quite limited. Rumour has it that the money ran out when the building was constructed. Some interesting works though, but it is mainly the building you should see. Historical fortress is nicely integrated in hypermodern architecture.

There were some interesting exhibits in this museum and we spent quite a while walking around. Note that you need to place bags in the lockers for which you will need a 1 or 2 euro coin

Impressive modern designed building, offering multilevel display areas with natural lighting. Present exhibition features an unusual subject-Destruction and is displayed in a variety of forms, including scale model of USA train crash, Nuclear explosions, to destruction of a full size grand piano. The Museum is located outside the city in the European Union offices area and is easily reached on the... More

of course it always depends on the current exhibition if you enjoy a stay at an art museum. But in this case you should not miss it anyway, as the location and the architecture are just great and there is a very good cafeteria inside!
