Eclectic and interesting for the Roman ruins. Some interesting period art as well. Overall, enjoyable and not overwhelming. A nice intro to Luxembourg. More

The best art museum I've ever been. You can see arts from different period as well as a long history of Luxembourg. More

Lots to see here. Several floors, start in the basement and move up through time with each floor representing a new period in human history. It was very interesting and would even be worth a couple of visits. More

A visit here shows Luxembourg's history from the beginning - stone age - roman empire - celts etc coming up to modern times. Beautiful permanent exhibitions, but also temporary exhibitions showing art in all it's splendor. More

We visited the Museum on a Thursday evening (free entrance 5-8pm Thurs) at the same time as the opening of a new exhibit (we were still able the wander through the museum without disturbing this). The museum is quite a special tour of the art and archaeology of Lux with 8 (? I think) levels of artefacts organised chronologically from... More

It took me several hours to go through all the floors of this museum, even though I didn't bother reading any of the piece descriptions. The descriptions are written in, I think, French and German. There are English guidebooks you can pick up on each floor, but I couldn't be bothered to keep looking up numbers of display pieces in... More
