The Palace of the Grand Dukes is (rightly) located in the heart of Luxembourg City. It is a building that one can get up close and have a good look at the wonderful architecture and adornments. It is a shorter stop that other sites in Luxembourg, but it is still worth the quick visit.

One of the closest-to-the-people royal palaces I've ever seen in Europe. It should be your first stop in the concentrated sight-seeing radius Luxembourg offers.

Is it really a must in my city tour? Well, if you have available time it might be part of your plans, however you will not see anything really special here. The guards are the only attraction (when they are not only standing as a statue).

We saw this building whilst on an organised tour of the city at the end of our River Cruise. The Grand Duke of Luxembourg was in residence as the flag was flying. There was one guard outside marching up and down. He was very smartly dressed but eyed me with suspicion as I took hos photograph! It was not open... More

This was the original residence for the Royal family, these days it is only used for formal receptions, an amazing piece of architecture situated in a square in the heart of town, sadly not open to tourists except in the month of August, check out the guards

Centre of Lux City is so small, that you can't miss this if you are wandering around for awhile. We were lucky enough to be there were there were soldiers in their uniforms "changing guards" . Beautiful place, so worth of visit

Not a must-see but it's a nice place in Luxembourg city; as it's very close to the golden lady or the cathedral it's hardly possible to miss it. you should also take a look into the old-school record store in front of the palace..

The Palace is a very quaint building - lots of character. On the edge of a square near the heart of town. Occasionally see the "Changing of the Guards" - without the fanfare you find at Buckingham Palace! Definitely worth walking past.
