Whilst the Duke and the family are summering in Colmar-Berg you can get a sneak peek of the palace and it's well worth the tour. Very knowledgeable guide shares the family story, history of the building and of Luxembourg in a light hearted and interesting way. There are no pictures allowed and although a little disappointing means everyone is focused... More

Easy to find, a lovely blond sandstone building, no pomp and ceremony on display just a single guard on duty outside. Fun photo ops :)

You must buy tickets at the TI in the square behind Plac D'Armes. The tours go every hour/half hour in specific languages. It is beautifully ornate inside. Our guide was very knowledgable, and he was proud to be a Luxembourger. Enjoy some history and lovely decor. No pictures are allowed inside.

As I said, best enjoyed on a walkign tour of the area. Fun sculpture and palace guards that don't mind photos - just don't go near their guard box!

Buy your ticket(s) well in advance if you are on a schedule. The tour is delightful, informative, and very enlightening. The palace is extremely ornate and beautiful.

The palace is literally located in a street in the middle of the city with shops located within 50m! There is always at least one guard on duty at the front, so a good photo opp.

We went with local guide that was hired by Globus tours so all we did was walk by . WISH WE COULD HAVE SEEN MORE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL TOWN. DO NOT. Go on Globus tour if you expect more than a glance as the bus passes or very brief walk thru on places of interest. This was a BEAUTIFul town.

Attractive area of Luxembourg. The building itself is attractive and notable, and the surrounding environs are picturesque. There is a guard outside who marches back and forth at regular intervals. Worth a walking tour if you are in the area.

Can't get in, but the outside is very nice. It is a nice story about the Royal Family that goes along with this site. Read up on it.

Being used to the pomp and ceremony of London the palace of the Grand Duke is charmingly understated, almost tucked away round a corner, with just one soldier keeping guard. You can do a tour inside but as part of a city walking tour just seeing the outside is great. Good coffee stop opposite.
