We went on the guided tour of the Grand Duke's Palace (in English). The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Grand Dukes of Luxembourg. we found it very informative. It is worth booking this in advance, which can be done by email (to the Luxembour City Tourist Office), as once we got to the Tourist Office... More

The whole family went for guided tour one rainy afternoon. The tour guide is a senior man but was very entertaining. He explained in a very detailed manner every information we need to know about each room. I didnt enjoyed it much because I continued to run after my little daughter (20 months old) because she couldnt stayed long in... More

We were lucky to travel to Luxembourg on the final weekend of the summer visit season to the palace. The tour was fantastic. The guide took you through the palace and introduced in great detail room by room the significance of the various items as well as the history of the Duchy. The tour had the feeling that someone was... More

The tours are only available for about 6 weeks during the summer when the palace is not used for functions etc, The Grand Duke and his family do not actually live at the Palace, but use it for receptions, functions. The history behind the palace is interesting and there are numerous portraits explaining the history, which country owned it during... More

The Palace is well worth visiting and the tourguide is interesting. The rooms that are shown are quite impressive but there could be more in the way of displays and exhibits about the Grand-Dukes. It would also benefit from a gift shop!

Yet another palace. Interesting story, but there are nicer palaces. At least you get to see where the royalty spends its time.

We took a German tour as the English one was full (warning: pre-book your tour!) and although we didn't understand much of the guided tour, we enjoyed looking at the beautiful interiors of the palace. They have been tastefully kept up to date with modern trends and standards. Definitely something to go and see if you're in Luxembourg during summer.

We did not go inside the Palace, but from the outside it is gorgeous, with lovely architectural details, and is right in the center of the city, not far from the statue of Guillaume II on his horse. I love the detail of the Luxembourg crest on the gates. I understand this is not the primary residence, and that the... More

I had some free time after a business meeting and colleagues had recommended that I do the tour of the palace as it only happens when the Duke and family are not in residence. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was great to learn more about the history of Luxembourg. I definitely recommend the tour.
