You only get to see 4 or 5 rooms and none of them are very interesting. I would say admire the building from the chocolate shop across the street.

We were surprised to find the Grand Ducal Palace is without a forecourt to the main façade fronting the Rue De Marche- aux- Herbes and the only indication one has that this is the place are the two guards with their sentry boxes either side of the closed entrance and people taking photographs. It is a rather large fine looking... More

The palace is beautiful and well maintained, you can take great pictures on site. The surrounding streets has shops and restaurants very near that complete the tour. It is a very cool place to walk without worrying about the time.

It is the official resident of the grand duke and we were there in October and the guards were parading outside. I think you can only tour in July and August so we missed out. Wonderful though to stand outstide and admire the architecture of this beautful building.

Just saw it from the outside. It was a lovely building. Very interesting architecture. For sure worth a visit even if you didn't go inside.

All the tourist books and info from the tourist office and the hotels lists the times open to visit the palace as being from July to the 2nd week of September. This is incorrect the palace closes to visitors on August 31st. So we wasted time on our vacation trying to visit this palace only to be told by a... More

The palace can only be visited during a couple of weeks in summer, but it's definitely worth the visit. The palace is really not big, but the guides will show you the main rooms and have you travel through a couple of centuries of history, based on the guide you go with, you might have different stories, but they all... In the centre of town a large semi ornate building I would hardly call it a palace from the outside nor would I go out of my way to get here but still if you are in the vicinity and are passing by it will make a nice photo of an easily forgettable building
