Don't miss visiting this place if you are around. They charge €5 per adult only cash as entry fee. View from the nature park across the fort is magical. Also the church in Beaufort is beautiful which was built 1734 - opens only on specific days so check online for dates.

Interesting place to visit. 2 parts, the middle ages castle and the Renaissance castle. Unfortunately the Renaissance castle tour is guided and was only available in French and Luxembourgish, neither of which I know well enough to take a tour in. I was told I could schedule in advance a group for an English tour It sounds like it has... More

Dropped by the Castle after reading the reviews, we did both tours the old part of the castle (The Ruins) and the new part which were living areas. Good information considering the guide had limited English as the regular English guide was away. Overall a very nice castle.

Nice to see. Not far from Luxembourg and close to Echternach (which is even more boring than the capital)

We stop here on our way from Luxembourg city to Vianden. Quite interesting place only 5 euro entry Would like to see this place in its prime. Small carpark available. Also walking/hiking tracks in this area.

What a great castle. I was hesitant at first, but ended up being very pleased. There was a 5 euro entrance fee to tour the castle, but we were able to try the castles liquor at the end which was very tasty. The castle is in ruins, but I like that. I can use my imagination to think about what... More

Very beautiful castle. We got a brochure written in English and it explains what you are looking at by numbered section. The ladies that work there are very friendly and willing to answer any questions that you may have. Bonus, you get a free shot of liquor at the end of your tour :) We ended up buying the raspberry... One of the biggest forts seen. Located in a very nice area with a pond opposite the road. The lady at the reception was very helpful with all the information needed. Given to me the history of the castle in english as well as a guide through the chambers. Very interesting the torture chamber.

There are two parts to go to here and it's worth doing both. First is the medieval fort, which you tour on your own, using the guide following the numbers. We arrived at the perfect time to have just enough time to go through the fort before the 4 PM guided tour of the Chateaux Renissainnce. The rooms are beautiful.... More
