Our English speaking guide was so knowledgable and really made the whole experience fun. The chateau itself is quite large with lots of rooms and spaces to explore.

Very nicely restored, with more ongoing restoration in progress. Lots of exhibits and photo ops. Plan on a couple of hours to see entire castle, there is a lot to see. Loved it all. Little gift shop for you to pick up souviners.

There is lots to see here with good descriptions. The walk up from town is steep in places but worth it.

It is just 40 min driving from Luxembourg city. You must see this incredible castle, It is renovated around 50's. However, lots of historical things to see. It is great opportunity to understand the life of land owners/duke's life. Nature around the castle is marvelous!

Excellent castle. Worth the walk up from town. Only €6 to go in and two more for the audio guide (highly recommended for English speakers). Beautifully restored and containing huge amounts of history. We did the trip as an afternoon trip from Luxembourg city- very easy to do.

The castle itself is beautiful and attractively situated over the town. It was left in ruins, but it's been restored to its past splendour thanks to the efforts of the State Government. Inside the castle, there were a number of displays of medieval life, including staff dressed in character introducing things like archery, tapestry making, etc. For kids, they have... More

We recently visited this attraction and it was so interesting! The town itself is quaint and stunningly pretty, with plenty of little places to eat/ drink. If the weather is good you can make the most of the lovely river and take a walk - perhaps watching the local fisherman at the river banks. Food seems to be well priced... More

Chateau de Vianden was very nicely restored. There is a few things to see in the castle. I was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful Marc Chagall's collection at the end of the tour of the castle.
