Relaxing

Lovely for meandering, people watching, view watching, reading etc. Sun or shade and a very reasonably priced cafe with everything from coffee to cocktails. Loved it.

I have visited the Upper Barrakka Gardens on many occasions. Every time I am impressed. The view of the Grand Harbour and the 3 cities is breathtaking. The memorials to various naval heros adds to the sense of theatre. There is also a fantastic little cafe just before the entrance. Hint: if you want a good view of the firing... More

What a wonderful place to visit, great views of the 3 cities,& harbour, don't forget to cover your ears at 12 noon.as the noise of the gun doesn't half shock you. The tour of the rooms below is worth going on.Also the lift is an experience in its own

This is a beautifully kept area, that has instructions and info from speakers on the edges of the garden. Its immaculately kept and is below a fantastic pillared area with a fantastic view over the whole area across the 3 cities. A must see

I went with my friends who couldn't resist take hundreds of photos of the marvellous view they saw in front of them. Cruise liners berthed, tremendous and beautiful old buildings, the astonishing port with a truly blue sea, what's more name it and you see it in front of your eyes

This is a lovely place to relax and take great photographs. You'll want to just hang out here for a while and take it all in.

Amazing view of Malta. Best place on the island for a view and only a short walk from the bus station in Vallencia.

Ge there early to get a good view of the canons being fired. The gardens the self are interesting and worth a look even without the cannons. You can get a closer look at the canons being fired if you're willing to pay a few extra euros for a better spot. But save your money and get there early.

An interesting visit but apart from the midday cannon firing notice happens. Good for a brief visit if you are passing through Valletta at the right time.

Easy to get too and free. Good view over the saluting battery where they fire the noonday gun. Stunning views across the grand harbour to the three cities. Huge lift down to the waterfront which is free going down and 1 Euro coming up
