Beautiful gardens with stunning views across the harbour. We had a wander around then sat in the sunshine till it was time for the midday cannon to be fired. A great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Really lovely place to visit with beautiful flowers. Views across the harbour were good with small and large ships coming and going. Plenty of seats in the shade and a wee outdoor cafe for a drink. Missed the gun salute but saw the guns.

Go at midday when they fire the salute. Really good views of the 3 cities & Birgu you can use a lift from there to get ferry across the harbour to Birgu.

Really lovely place to visit with breath taking views. We had a lovely day & watched the gun salute from the old cannons. There a small cafe which is very reasonably priced.

The Grand Harbour is the most beautiful Harbour in the World. And the best Vintage point to witness this view is surely the Upper Barrakka Gardens. A must visit for every tourist! Firing of the Canons happens daily at around mid day. Nice attraction, free entrance, and relaxing gardens too!

The gardens are a nice little haven from the busy Valletta streets, and allow you to get an excellent panoramic view over the Grand Harbour to the historic "Three Cities". Possibly a rest of weary feet too! Nicely laid out terrace overlook, pretty flower beds leading up to it, beautifully maintained, and a café discreetly located at one side. There's... More

The view is unbeatable although the gardens themselves are quite small. Unsurprisingly lots of tourists.

I would visit it late afternoon when the sun casts the most beautiful aura on the harbour that is a unique geological structure and represents the maritime heritage of Malta and Europe.

I could stay here all day, just looking at the views, and watching the Midday gun salute the new lift is great.
