The water front and restaurants are about 500mts from the lift, this is where the hard rock bar is, not a full blown cafe, the shop area is very small. There's several places to eat here.

We were in Malta in 2014 Christmas period and stayed at Mellieha. On our 2nd day we went to Valletta, the capital of Malta. We took bus number 41/42 towards Valletta at about 8am and got down at last stop. We took a left turn and entered the city. After seeing much attraction, we went to the waterfront. It was... More

Easy hop on hop off schedule, suppose to have commentary, but didn't, Valletta was undergoing heavy construction, should be good when finished

I will recommend this place to visit after you visit Upper Garden or if you are looking for a place to eat your lunch or dinner. I visited waterfront during the lunch time on Sunday. Majority of the restaurant was fully packed by Maltese people. It seems like they just finished visiting the mass/Church and having a family lunchtime. We... More

for a city Valletta is small enough to wander around worry free and enjoy the great atmosphere. go see the gun batteries fired daily at midday, wander freely around the city, see the lovely gardens, wander down the water front, enjoy a wine at the many wine bars.

Took a day trip to Valletta and spent most of it on Waterfront, great views of harbour, lovely gardens and seating areas to relax and watch world go by.. Canon on battery at 12 noon and 4pm well worth a visit. Lots of Restaurants around, its a place to go to chill out for an hour.

There was nothing to see apart from a cruise liner and derelict buildings to be honest. Maybe what we thought were derelict buildings housed shops that were open in summer but being Feb there wasn't much to see.

Nicely developed area keeping to the traditional buildings of its surrounding environment whilst bringing a splash of colour and a great choice of menus from the many restaurants at the Waterfront. Plenty to watch as one enjoys a drink or something to eat.
