The view of Valletta seafront from Sliema is truly breathtaking. You can take a lovely stroll around the promenade up to The Point shopping mall and get lively views.

We were told that the Valletta Waterfront was a newly renovated, 'hip' area where Maltese spend their night life on the weekends. What we found however were simply restaurants lined-up tightly net to each other, bustling with tourists. You'll be able to find all kinds of restaurants ranging from modern Mediterranean, over fish to Asian but none of them seemed... More

There are certain cities in the world that make you think you are living in a dream. Valletta on the Island of Malta is one of those rare cities with an abundance of history, religion, turbulence and character that as the sun sets, you can imagine you are living history, or at least living in a dreamy Canaletto painting. There... More

Many many shops and eateries to explore. Also the place to see the cruise ships arawn up to the various jettys. There is also a paper boat as you go down the hill to the waterfront cafes, etc, on the left-hand side

To catch the local ferries to the other three ferry terminals and have a decent look around this lovely island-to quote General McArthur-I will return!

Lovely place full of history with plenty of resturants. Outside the walls are a lot more shops bars etc. the big gun is sounded everyday at 12pm and 4pm. There is a lot of rejuvenation going on so some things maybe closed. The war rooms are not really worth the ten euro, but the money is for the work to... More

Having been devastated by heavy bombing during world war II the area is now a collection of bars and shops. The building facades have been restored to their original Bar of glory. Also known as Pinto wharf named after the original architect.

We took a traditional wooden water taxi from the waterfront, across the Grand Harbour to Vittorioso. We did this as transportation since we wanted to get to the Malta at War Museum, but I recommend it as an experience in itself. The ride was pleasant and gave us an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful waterfront area and the amazing fortifications.... More

We thought that Valletta waterfront would be a nice place for dinner. Whilst the location is pretty nice - it's clean and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from - the view across the harbour was spoilt by a giant tanker / container ship. I imagine that it is common for this or cruise ships to dock here. There... More
