The imposing Valletta waterfront is best seen from the Upper Barrakka Gardens (qv), with the saluting battery and the very nice park. I am not a great fan of the so-called 2- or- 3-"harbor cruises" as I much rather walk than float around. Visited on Boxing Day. Was a nice 17 degrees which felt like 25. There is a nice walk along the water front with plenty of places for a drink or some food

We walked here from the Old Town but unfortunately arrived when a cruise ship had off loaded its passengers. It was a little chaotic with people rushing to get to busses and other transport. We went on this tour as part of a package holiday with RSD. The tour was really good, except for the rain. We visited Valletta on a nice sunny day in February The place is full of history and it's buildings are just breathtaking We loved the charm of Valletta narrow steep streets and it's magnificent cathedrals and churches

Great views from here plus you have several of maltase museums and tourist attracts. Not the most easier to get to if you have working difficulties however buses go regular. Well worth a visit.
