this experience wil give you plenty of background on the fascinating history of this island, all be it in a nutshell, I would in any case advise to do some pre-reading

We only visited the cafe, the cooked food was a good price and good quality, however the drinks and ice creams were vastly overpriced. The cafe lacked atmosphere, and while all the doors had signs to request that people closed them to allow the air conditioning to work, staff were frequently ignoring these, resulting in the cafe being quite hot.

Multi-lingual AV show which leads you through Malta's turbulent history. If you don't know anything about it, this will add dimension and understanding to the architecture around you. Admission includes a visit to the original Knights hospital opposite where you may learn of a surprising use for honey...

I would begin my touring at this location, because so much of where you will visit is reviewed in this video presentation.

It is unlikely that you are coming to Malta to simply lie on the beach all day, so as a first stop this is a great way to obtain a short but enlightening potted history of the Island. I had lived in Malta for several years but my wife had never visited the Island. We parked in the main Car... More

An interesting film which provided us with some useful information and an overview of the history of this fabulous little island. We went along late morning and it seemed much busier as we left the area. If you don't want to be crammed in a busy venue - go early!

I lived in Malta for six years as a child and have returned many times over the last 40 decades. This year I organised a three day even in Malta for the very well traveled and highly discerning WPO (the World Presidents Organisation) which I am delighted to say got rave reviews. There is so much to see and marvel... More

I knew it would be aimed at the tourist market but I went anyway. Located in Valletta, the capital of Malta this audio visual spectacular is apparently one of Europe's largest attractions in terms of duration and language commentaries. It runs for 45 minutes and packs in 7000 years of Maltese history. Perhaps go here before anywhere else so you... More

We found the Malta Experience reasonably informative but boring. My preference is to learn about Maltese history from my guidebook or from local tour guides, rather than sitting through a film made by the tourist industry. However, our entry fee included a tour of the Hospital of the Knights of St John, by a local guide, which was really fascinating.... More

This is really good and well worth doing. You can't really understand Malta or the Maltese without a basic understanding of the country and its history. The Malta Experience provides a thoughtful, well put together movie which provides a terrific introduction and overview of the country and it's development. We thought it was great and very good value. At under... More
