Have been there a couple of times for performances but wanted to spend more time just looking around. Two exhibitions one interesting and the other very thought provoking. Also stopped for a very good lunch, pasta and burger. Building was designed to keep people out but there is a lift and ramps

Already the front of the centre, as you go inside is very inspiring. Inside, the interiour is modern, clean. I enjoyed the most the exhibition of childrens' art, T-shirts, as they used colours it was amazing.

This gallery is often full of unique artistic concepts with unforgettable exhibits. For example a full size twisted British phone box. Local artists display their works.

This is a hard building to find and when you find it you wonder how you never noticed it before. The building is huge as part of the fortifications of Valletta. The coffee shop/café housed in the fort is often missed by visitors to Valletta but serves great tea/ cakes/snacks. The staff are pleasant and prices are reasonable for Valletta... More

It takes a little effort to find it, oddly enough. It is an immense fortification, but the doorway is a nondescript little entrance. There is a second doorway that is even more nondescript. However, once you are inside, the place is full of fascinating things--art exhibitions, theatre space, a restaurant, perhaps a cinema festival or music performances. The building itself... More

The building alone is a work of art but had been to see some interesting exhibit and shows. Looking forward to going more this summer.. a must for a Valletta experienced.

It is easy to overlook St James Cavalier. The centre for creativity is an attractive venue for the arts: movies, concerts as well as exhibits. Always worthwhile. There are two other treats. Without an exhibition, the building itself is a valuable piece of architecture. Heavy military fortifications of the 16th century given modern application. The internal structural architecture and marvelous... More

We spent an hour exploring the building and the different exhibitions. It was not totally obvious where things were and how you found your way, but with a bit of exploring you can find your way around

There are a variety of things happening here but you wouldn't necessarily know about it unless you hunted down the info. The notice boards outside will let you know what is or will be on but probably not with exact dates, times, and/or prices. The most convenient option would be to check their website for details on performances. If you're... More

This is an amazing place, starting with its fairy tale stair case which draws the inquisitive visitor inside. When we were there there were 2 art exhibitions. There are also a range of cultural activities going on most days and a cafe in the basement. The whole building has been redesigned (from its previous defensive use) most imaginatively.
