A fortification transformed into a centre of creative activities

Very interesting to see how this "cavalier (forteress in the forteress) has been restored and transformed into a cultural centre.

The "inspirations" cafe is a really good pit stop either before or after visiting Valletta. Art exhibitions are frequent. All aspects of the arts are covered though - music, cinema etc. Great place to pop into when in Valletta

The theatre is circular so check the seating when you book, although they do not offer some seats for sale. The Upper deck has quite a lot of stairs. The café sells home made gateaux and pies and also daily specials. It continues to serve snacks and drinks well after the performances end in the evening. All facilities are excellent.... More

Frequent visitor. Sometimes to just see exhibitions by local artisans, schools, and others. Sometimes a film. Sculpture etc. Beautiful even to just walk in and up the steps, feel the cool limestone, walk around, and leave when you feel ready.

Stumbled across this place whilst wondering around Valetta. Enjoyed getting lost around the maze of little warren holes. Liked it that much stopped for a drink and s bite to eat. Enjoyable exhibition throughout . Free admission what's not to like about this place

There is free entrance to this attraction housed within a fort within the old city. Supposedly an art centre there was genuinely nothing of interest other than a few random photographs. The building is interesting and has clearly been renovated at great cost. Perhaps we visited at a bad time but stuggle to see its purpose.

You have to be very creative in this building, to find what you are looking for. We ended up walking along several dimly lit corridoors, passing lost people with bewildered looks on their faces, up and down a lift, until we found the exhibition. There wasnt a lot to the exhibition, and a lot of the other spaces seemed to be... More

Interesting building - however there was little on when we visited and no one around to ask. Does have a WC which is quite a rarety in Valletta. Would be a nice place for a cafe?

Have been there a couple of times for performances but wanted to spend more time just looking around. Two exhibitions one interesting and the other very thought provoking. Also stopped for a very good lunch, pasta and burger. Building was designed to keep people out but there is a lift and ramps

Already the front of the centre, as you go inside is very inspiring. Inside, the interiour is modern, clean. I enjoyed the most the exhibition of childrens' art, T-shirts, as they used colours it was amazing.
