Cons: 1. Beach was tiny; full of ppl (especially if you arrive at the island in the middle of the day) 2. On attempting at exploring the island, we realised there was nothing to explore apart from shrubs and rocks which cover the whole of the island. 3. Compared to our visit to Gozo, this seemed like a waste of... More

Just returned from Malta and visited the Blue Lagoon last week. Well worth a visit - the views are fantastic. Lovely walks around the lagoon too. Couple of kiosks with food and drink, including beers, which were not that expensive surprisingly. The only thing that ruined the day for us, as mentioned by Patrick D below, were the "washed up... We visited early April which was a little cold for swimming, but allowed us to still appreciate the beauty of the island. I can believe some of the reviews that this is overcrowded in the summer as the beaches are tiny - but it is well worth a visit out of season to allow you to see the glorious waters... More

A day on the small island of Comino is a must if you're holidaying in Malta. The waters of the Blue Lagoon are probably the clearest I have ever seen which makes for fantastic swimming! To make the day go by stress free here are a few tips... 1) Get there EARLY: Try to get the earliest boat to Comino... More

When holidaying in Malta, get on a boat from Bugibba or Sliema (longer trip) and head for a day on the smallestof the Maltese Islands, Comino. You should not miss the Blue Lagoon where the water is so clear that if you drop a ring you can actually see it land on the seabed. Vey safe waters and excellent for... More

Stunning hidden gen in Comino island and a serene, relaxing place, especially for swimmers. Ferries run from Malta as well as Gozo to this place. We made it to this place in March 2014, considered to fall under winter season in Malta. So there were limited ferries running every hour to this lagoon. You should not miss the boat ride... More

Amazing little hidden place. If you are good swimmer, be prepared to cross lagoon by swimming. Great fun. A must see

This is the second time I have been to the Blue Lagoon. It is breathtakingly beautiful. You can catch one of the many tourist boats which leave daily, they take you along the coast so you can see some of the caves and tell you a little about the history of them - I am not sure if all the... More

This is a lovely and tranquil lagoon between Comino and Cominetto. I personally found it less exciting that other attractions in Malta, but seriously - no visit to Malta is complete without at least sailing next to the lagoon.

When you're planning a summer holiday to Malta a trip to Blue Lagoon (for example via Oh Yeah Malta in il-Mellieha which offers good boat trips around Comino and to Blue Lagoon for a fair price) must be included! Blue Lagoon really does justice to its name. I never saw such bright blue water (except in swimming pools) and had... More
