The staff at Kaffibarinn seem to be here against their will, as their attitude towards customers is piss poor. Total night-ruiner, avoid at all cost!

Nice relaxed atmosphere with very good music. And the excellent Einstök White Ale. Prices are reasonable by Icelandic standards, particularly before 8pm when White Ale is only 650ISK.

The place is quite small but cosy. The music was really good and people who appear there are stylish.

I definitely understand why this place is so popular. It has a really great vibe and I felt right at home drinking beer at a table perched along the red wooden walls. While it was still light outside it was nice to find a dark nook and sit by the candlelight. The music and atmosphere were pretty chilled but we... More

Maybe it's a 5 because it was my first taste of Einstok White Ale (get some from duty free on the way home!). We went early evening so it wasn't too crowded and had a great little chat with the bartender while sipping some beers. Nice spot to go! Just note it's a bar only with no food.

Always heard Kaffibarinn was great and it certainly lived up to the hype. Great atmosphere, great selection of booze, great crowd, but be prepared It gets so packed that you can't actually stroll around with booze on your hand. But the whole vibe is awesome. There's a smoking room on the ground floor that is so cool. I was there... More

Went there on a Wednesday, but it was packed! The beer selection could have been better, but I was happy with the selection I tried none the less. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Reykjavik, hopefully I'll get to try the scene on a Weekend.

We ended up here on a Saturday night but early before the crowds really came in. We arrived at 11:30pm and it was not busy at all but very typical for Reykjavik. At about 2am locals poured in for drinks and dancing. The DJ they had was great and I even downloaded some of his music when I got home.... More

Nice place in 101 Reykjavík to go for drinks on an evening. The prices are reasonable (at least for beer) and the atmosphere is cool: you will be surrounded by Shoreditch-like guys working on their Macs.
