We travelled in December when there are only 4 hours of daylight so it was something of a whistle stop - but if you do nothing else in Iceland do the Golden Circle. The scenery is amazing, the hot springs, geysers, the place where the continents meet is just something else - our minds were totally blown. Watch out at... more

We did this trip with Iceland excursions (http://www.grayline.is/). It is a really packed day taking in Thinvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir and Strokker, Faxafoss, Skalholt church and Nesjavellir geothermal powerplant. It takes around 8 1/2 hours and is a great way to pack a lot of stuff into a day. Whilst it has become a bit of a tourist trail, these really... more

When in Iceland, you simply must go on a Golden Circle tour. The sites are gorgeous and Gullfoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. You'll probably stop at Nesjavellir geothermal plant first for a tour and educational video of the country's geothermal heating system (whoop-te-doo) but then you move on to Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss and... more

Did the the Golden Circle tour with a new tour operator Netbus. They use smaller vehicles and it cost only 8000 ISK. The guide, Andrey (not sure how to spell his name), was really knowledgeable, friendly, and showed a very genuine enthusiasm and love for his country. The tour stops at several major sights like gullfoss, a new geothermal power... more

I took the Golden Circle Tour with Iceland Excursions (http://www.grayline.is/). Although the tour is on a large bus and I usually prefer smaller groups of people, it was still a great and personal experience. You are conveniently picked up from your hotel for this 8.5 hour tour. The tour guide is knowledgable (although probably not the best I've ever had),... more

Just returned from a cruise with a one day stop in Reyjkavik. While NCL offered a Golden Circle large bus tour, several of us via cruisecritic decided to arrange a tour and due to great reviews used Iceland Horizons for a small minivan, personalized experience. David was extremely responsive in arranging three vehicles and replying to email questions quickly. Although... more

Just arrived from Iceland. Great experience, we did the Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle with Netbus, -netbus.is-. They are the cheapest at the moment and we had a friendly and imformative guide. Horseback riding with Eldhestar.is and rafting with aecticrafting.is. Now we could do this sice the Icelandic Krona has fallen about 60%. more

The cheapest option it seemed and it was great! Plenty of time to enjoy everything. Why pay more? more

Having read Tripadvisor reviews, we used David from Iceland Horizons for our tour. He was informative and interesting. It was nice to be in the smaller bus which meant that we didn't have to wait for 50 other people. Highly recommended and cheaper than many of the other tours. more

We had a great trip with Iceland Horizons. Small minibus with 16 people. This is a much better way to see the sights rather than a 60 seater coach Excellent information and great guy (British) more
