Last day in Iceland, riding a very smooth horse - easy to handle even for a beginner like me! Fantastic, like the nature! Thanks, Viking Horses, for everything! I'll definitely be back!

We visited Iceland this past weekend and I reached out to Viggo about a private tour for our group. They were extremely accommodating especially since I contacted the day before. Viggo picked us up at our hotel, took us to the stables, gave us warm clothing and gear to wear and was great with chosing the right horse for each... More

Firstly, the very most important thing for me is to know that the horses are being well kept and taken care of. The Viking Horses seemed to live a happy and healthy life at the stables and were enjoying the October sun outside when I was visiting. Secondly, to be able to book a private tour or to be a... This was a lovely group, who went out of their way to ensure our day was extra special. My husband was celebrating his birthday the day of our ride, and Svava & Viggo provided a wonderful surprise birthday lunch and a fresh baked chocolate torte cake with strawberries and whipped cream. The ride itself was wonderful. It was our first... More

As I am not a natural horserider this was a bit of adventure so I am glad my horse was selfgoing but you really had to hold on because they took every chance to compete with each other. Lovely sunny day so it was fine!

The bad news is, I had only one evening to spend in Reykjavik. The good news is, I decided to spend it riding with Viggo and friends on an Icelandic horse. What a unique, fun and thrilling experience! First and foremost, the horses. They are somewhat smaller than most other horse breeds that I'm familiar with, extremely gentle and sweet,... More

I visited Iceland a month ago with friends and really wanted to try riding an Icelandic horse. We picked Viking Horses because of the possibility to have a longer tour than most other companies, all the while being in a smaller group. Viggo and Svava are very welcoming and friendly hosts, and made sure our little band of four had... More

We had a fabulous time on our visit to Iceland this Summer with Viggo and his beautiful horses through Viking Horses. The horses are clearly well cared for and loved and Viggo was very careful about questioning our ability so he could match the perfect horses to our skill level. We had a wonderful ride around the Red Hills area... More

I could not leave Iceland without riding an Icelandic horse. My travel agency advised Viking Horses and that was fantastic. I was welcomed and taken care of in a perfect way and I really appreciated to find myself in a small structure where the horses are very well treated and looked after. Svava and Viggo are wonderful persons, they know... More
