Owner description: Arctic Adventures is an Icelandic adventure and activity company with an emphasis on eco tourism and environmentally friendly trips in the amazing Icelandic nature. Our story starts way back in 1983 as a rafting company with the Boat people on Hvita river. We have been rafting this river all those years and even though we broadened our range of products a lot throughout the last years, we are still Iceland's elite rafting company. Today anyhow, we operate a multitude of tours in South Iceland, both from our headquarters in Reykjavíks city center and our base camps on the Golden Circle close to Geysir and Gullfoss and in Skaftafell in the South East. We also operate a number of tours in Thingvellir National Park.

I signed up for the Black and Blue snorkeling tour. This was one of the most exciting adventures of my life. You need to be in overall good health and pretty good shape. The frigid water is exactly 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Luckily, the group provides a "teddy bear" suit and an incredibly durable rubber wet suit. Your hands and your... More

we booked a 4 day package including northern lights tour, golden circle with snowmobiling, blue ice and the blue lagoon. I did everything everything over email and the customer service(especially Sæunn) was awesome. even when the weather changed our plans, they were in constant contact with me. Our ice guide Freyr was amazing. He was knowledgeable, helpful, fun and made... More

We met the group at the National Park just for the snorkeling. Knowledgable guides and extremely helpful in getting people into the dry suites. Water was cold and be prepared for 45mins of chills on hands and face. Visibility good and though it appeared we were the only life forms in the water, the rock formations and opportunity to swim... My wife and I both took part in the "Black and Blue" excursion our last full day in Iceland and we simply can't say enough good things about our journey with the group leaders and our overall experience. The snorkeling and spelunking was beyond expectation. Bjorg, Hermes and Richard are exceptional tour guides that interact well with group members and... More

I booked Arctic Adventures after viewing many companies who did active tours of Icelands outdoor activities. This was a good pick. I chose Golden Circle and Lava Tubing and Blue Ice. "Well" our tour guide was on time and very informative. He is a Welsh native transplanted to iceland a few years ago. We went to the Gullfoss Falls, Geyser... More

Fantastic tour company and an amazing experience. I recently visited Reykjavik and booked the Northern Lights Hunt tour with Arctic Adventures. Our tour included caving, a lobster dinner and a super jeep hunt for the Northern Lights. The cave tour was excellent, our guide was very friendly and informative, and the lobster dinner was sooooo good. I'd recommend doing this... More

Snorkeling in between tectonic plates; a crack between the North American and Eurasian continent is not something that one gets do in many places, it really is a very different experience even if you have snorkeled elsewhere. Getting in and out of the suit is quite a task but once you are in the waters, the visibility is awesome and... More

This tour was the highlight of our trip. We did Blue Ice which included a Glacier trek, ice wall climbing and a visit to a waterfall. The whole day was awesome! The views were absolutely amazing and the whole experience was just enhanced by our two fantastic guides, Jakob and Freyr. We cannot praise or thank them enough! They were... More

Just got back from a great day with Jacob & Fray from Artic Adventures on the "Blue Ice" tour. The tour itself was great; when booking it said max. 8ppl but there were 10 on our group. Apart from that our day was fabulous. The glacier was spectacular and Fray was so passionate, funny and excited about glaciers that he... More

We booked the Northern Lights Super jeep tour on our second last night in Rekjavik. My main reason for rating this as poor is not because we didn't see the lights as we completely understand that this is a natural phenomenon. Our poor rating is because of the safety on the trip. The super jeep sits about a metre off... More
