We were picked up by Erling from Volcanotours in his jeep at our hotel for a sightseeing trip around Reykjanes. Picked up from our hotel and went in a jeep to see waterfall, the volcano and glacier, then off road to a canyon and scrambled up to another beautiful waterfall. We went on the super jeep volcano tour. Seeing the volcano up close was great as was the some of the other sites visited. The guides were great fun & very interesting company. We took the tour bus and got about 4 miles away from the volcano. We were able to see the lava flow. Make sure to bring a camera and binoculars. It was a tour hour bus ride to get to the spot but our tour guide talked for the whole time giving us the geological history of south Iceland and... More
