We are very glad that we found this company to take our tours while we visited Iceland! We did the "hot golden circle" and "glacial lagoon" tours and were lucky enough to have "Gummi" as our guide both times. Our tour sizes were four people large each time and Gummi was able to take us places that large bus tours... More

I traveled with my two kids to Iceland in March. For reasons too complex to get into, this was a rather last minute trip, but also pretty long at ten days. Since it was the off season and the weather is so variable in Iceland, I didn't pre-book excursions, but waited to do so after we arrived. I knew I... More

Gateway to Iceland was a fantastic and sensible way to explore the far-flung corners of a truly unique and wonderful country. The guides are friendly, warm and entertaining, providing an engaging stream of stories, history, local lore and opinions as they take you to sites both on and off the beaten path. Many spots we visited would have been inaccessible... More

We were very happy with GTI. Especially because we got to go on a small bus, our group was apparently quite large for this company at15 people but felt a lot better than being on one of giant buses. And it was a beautiful way to get acquainted with the Golden Circle. We even stopped at an old church and... More

The "South Shore Adventure" day trip fromReykjavik is a great introduction to this part of Iceland. Better with sunshine I am certain but adaptations were made by our guide to mitigate this. Our guide, who's name I shall not try to spell, was knowledgable about anything one could imagine asking about. The smaller size of the vehicle and group was... More

Our family of four returned yesterday from the trip of a lifetime in Iceland!-- made perfect by the native Icelanders from Gateway to iceland who not only are thoroughly familiar with the rugged terrain, off road and hard to find sites, culture of Iceland and language, but are eager to share their knowledge with visitors. We saw, hiked and experienced... More

I think the best way to tell you exactly how good the GTI your guides are is to say that I miss them now that I'm home. I found this tour company totally by luck and was totally impressed with them. My girlfriend and I were in Iceland for a week and had never been before so we spoke to... More

Going on a tour with this company was the highlight of my trip! There are a lot of companies to choose from and they all take you to the same places. The small group tours with GTI are the only way to go! You have an opportunity to bond with your tour guide and learn a lot more about the... More

Honestly I can't say enough good things about this travel agency. This is was my first time using a travel agent and it has set the bar pretty high. My girlfriend and I had been planning a trip to Iceland for almost a year. After saving and planning we finally realized we needed some help. Iceland is an amazing country... More

We are very happy with GTI and the courteous, knowledgeable staff! We went on the Golden Circle tour with Gummi who was a walking almanac of all things Iceland (and speaks fabulous English)! He was there on every part of our tour to call attention to all kinds of detail! For our second tour there was some miscommunication between us... More
