There isn't anything too incredible about this spot, but it's a nice, clean looking sculpture that happens to have a nice background, especially at sunrise and set. Unless you want to try to get a nice picture at either of these times of day, I wouldn't make a special trip out here. For me, it was between my hotel and... More

a beautiful sculpture on the water! simple, clean lines and lovely. Nice to sit here with a cuppa joe and admire the water.

We walked from our hotel (CenterHotel Plaza) along the path by the water. It is an interesting statue. Worth a stop if you are out and about.

First saw this in midafternoon and loved it, later saw it at sunset (AMAZING!).It evokes the essence of Icelandic culture and is in a wonderful location for a walk along the waterfront on a summer day.

I don't get it. It's a bit interesting, but I've seen other pieces sculpted art pieces more interesting than this. What I enjoyed more than the actual sculpture was walking along the paved walking path along the waterway where this sculpture is located. I'm not much into art, so perhaps there is something about this I'm not seeing & appreciating,... More

Such a gorgeous sculpture with the atmospheric mountains as its backdrop. I managed to get some great photo's just as the sun was setting.

Its a very interesting sculpture that just "fits" in the whole area. Its worth the walk, especially on a nice sunny day. Grab a seat, relax, and just take in the scenery.

To be fair, I am not a fair of this type of art but I was not overly impressed. I certainly would not have made a special trip to see it. I was a bit annoyed at the people climbing on it but I just figured that was normal and moved on.

I saw it late in the evening when the sculpture was lit up by the sun. It's a lovely piece of art and Iceland should be proud that this is front-and-center at their harbor.
