Now this isn't spectacular just on its own. I would recommend visiting this sculpture as it gets you down to the waterfront and you get an incredible view of the water and the snowy mountain backdrop!

A structure located along the sea front. A fantastic photo opportunity, with a stunning back drop. Perfect pictures to take all year around. No denying you are in Iceland when you see this!

Worth a visit! We were lucky enough to catch the northern lights over the water when we went down to check this out, made for an amazing sight!

The sculpture is situated in the harbour area near to the new concert all (well worth a visit as beautiful architecture). Cant really add much more as you can see by the picture what it looks like, but is worth seeing and makes a good photo opportunity.

Well worth the wall along the sea front, beware the wind blows and in Winter it is very cold!! The effort is worth it as Solfar stands proud and peaceful. Its a great place for a photo of Esjan if there isn't a snow storm when you get there.

Walked along the seafront and saw this at sunrise-very stunning. Maybe not a destination visit but worth a look if passing.

Nice sculpture with a lovely backdrop, weather depending! Definately worth some photos's and is nicely lit at night. You can also see the Imagine Peace Tower lit up behind at night which also makes a nice picture.

A modern sculpture that I guess is constructed from aluminimum or stainless steel that glints in sunlight. 6" of snow on the ground when we visited and the white background of the mountains across the bay gave a perfect finish.

Take some lovely photos of this beautiful sculpture near the harbour. There is even a pull in space to park your car while you snap away. How organised the Icelandic people are!
