Stunning Sculpture on the sea front, made from stainless steel and is a great interpretation of a Viking Long Boat and well worth a look :)

You will see it as you travel around. Nice enough sculpture. I would not go out of my way to find it unless you really like public art.

Simple and beautiful. Go just before sunset and stick around to see the colours change. This is really a great thing to see, simple and easy to see.

Simple but beautiful sculpture has become the most recognizable element of the waterfront in Reykjavik. A picture of this with the northern lights in the background has become the holy grail to every tourist who brings a camera to Iceland.

Made by high quality stainless steel, stands on granite slabs located at saebraut sea front Reykjavik, very impressive sculpture. Created by Iceland's famous sculptor Jon Gunnar, unveiled 1990, after 24 years still shining with great glory! Surrounding sea views very impressive. Worth a look.

Pretty sculpture to take some pictures with the ocean and mountain behind. Well adapted for the cars, easy to stop from the main road.

It's a statue along the bay. What can you say? Nice. Aluminum. Place to sit. Captures Viking spirit and all that.

Its a lovely sculpture which appeals to young and old. And sturdy enough that people can climb over it without ruining it. Its like a triton and a while put together.

We stopped and looked at this sculpture as we were passing. It is certainly impressive, and in a great spot next to the water, beside a bike/jogging path. However, it is removed from most of the sights of the city, and on a very busy road. I don't think I'd make a special trip to see it, though, so only... More

It is a nice place to sit and have a sandwich and just take in the view and the nice fresh air. If you are lucky, and come at night, you might see the northern lights.
