It's a nice piece of sculpture at a good location which looked over Reykjavik bay and the nearby mountains (when the weathers good).

Modern interpretation of a Viking ship. Easy to find, not far from the concert hall. Good location for photos.

I came upon the Viking ship while running along the waterfront. It is a very nice sculpture. There are other sculptures and displays nearby as well. If you have the time, I would spend 30 minutes and walk the waterfront. However, don’t go out of your way to see it.

You can walk along the water banks leading up to the statue which is very peaceful watching the boats go by. But the statue itself didn't leave much of an impression on me.

Lovely metal skeleton of a Viking boat. We only got to see it in daylight which on a lovely sunny morning was wonderful with the sun glinting off of the metal. Would have loved to have seen it lit up at night but we had too many other things like chasing the Northern Lights to do!!!

The sculpture is located just at the sea (ocen) coast not far from the Reykjavik harbopur and Harpa center. Making some photos from here is almost a duty for any visitor but there is almost nothing else to do here.

Particularly impressive at dusk or sunset, if yuo get the light right for your inevitable instagram moments. One of the most photogenic sculptures I have ever seen.

A pleasant stop on a walk down the side of the bay. The sculpture's venue at the shoreline of the bay is a tribute to the vikings who sailed and eventually inhabited this island.

Literally just a metal sculpture in a small area next to a motorway. Would not be worth it to take the walk over if not for the stunning view of the bay and Mt Esja behind
