This trip is something no scuba diver visiting Iceland should miss! The accessibility and depth make this a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness something you'd normally only see on video or through a submarine glass window. And the guide, Elli, know not only the area like the back of his gloved hand but also the fish... personally! Meet... More

Erlendur is the perfect host. You are very much diving with a new friend rather than a commercial operator. Here is someone with a true passion for Icelandic diving and it rubs off on you. He clearly has a wealth of diving and dive exploration experience and is a very engaging conveyor of history pertinent to the underwater environment (and... More

We are moderately experienced divers who had never tried a dry-suit and we did our dry-suit certification, including one dive on Arnarnesstrytur with Erlendur Bogason of Strytan Diving. Erlendur is a great teacher, clear, patient and motivating, providing advices in a positive and constructive way. After some theoretical explanations and the donning of the suits, which is quite an experience!,... More

Great communication before hand. On arrival awesome set up in center, could be incredible in future, lots of potential with the info, museum and maybe as a training centre, (i'd go). Love Erlendurs passion for his place and the sites, so informed and soooooo interesting. Great group (small and friendly), incredible dives! lots of space and really relaxed feel to... More

Quick and professional email contact. New equipment, very pleasant dive guide and a small diving group. I was a great dive! Thanks!

Strytan dive center works together with the excellent Dive.is based in Reykjavik, and a happy union it is. Erlendur (Ele) offers a.o. the chance to dive underwater hot water vents normally found well beyond our reach below 1000m+. Apart from the thrill of seeing boiling 10.000 year-old water squirt into the sea, you cannot fail to be impressed by the... More

I went hear with my dive club and we stayed at Ytri Vík nice place 10 km from to the dive centre. Erlendur took us for 3 dives to big stryta and small stryta and the wall. After the second dive we spotted some humpback whales and Erlendur added some whale watching. It was by far the best whale sighting... More

This was one of the best dives I've had. Erlendur and his daughter have been extremely polite, professional and helpful at all times. They even had us sent clothes that we forgot there afterwards. The boat trip to the dive site at Strytan is only about 5 mins and on the way back we saw two whales which Erlednur happily... More

Our diving with Erlendur and his daughter was a wonderful experience even though the resident wolf fish Stepanie took a 'liking' to me and bit me! We are very experience divers but this was only our third dry suit dive. The support staff at Dive.is (where we did our first two dry suit dives at the Silfra crack) advised me... More
