One of my favorite activities during my trip in Iceland: a funny drive in a super jeep, a walk across a lava field (worth it) and then this exclusive and wonderful Ice Cave where you have to crawl on the belly and on the back :)

Expensive but worth it - there were only two of us (both interested in photography) so we were able to spend time taking lots of photos. Ola (Olav?) was a very good guide. The entrance to the cave is a very short but low hole (about 50cm high) so you be aware of this if you are claustrophobic.

Because I had SAGA TRAVEL from previous years in best memories, we booked again willingly two unknown excursions. So we did the CULINARY COASTLINE AND COUNTRYSIDE and two weeks later SIGLUFJÖRÐUR & THE COASTAL CULTURE. What should I say? As expected, competent guides and storytellers, good conduct in the given time frame, even though that was sometimes very tight, and... More

We did the Southcoast & Glacier Hike tour in March 2015 leaving from Reykjavik. The initial date I wanted to take the tour was booked, but Saga was very good at communicating with us so that we could schedule an alternate date that worked for us. I love companies that communicate! Going to the South Coast was great and memorable.... More

My daughter and I went to Akureyri for two days during early April. I booked Lake Mývatn tour earlier. When we got there we also booked Waterfall Dettifoss Super Jeep tour. People at Saga office were very helpful, made us coffee and gave us some traditional cake and had really good chat to us. The tours were not too busy,... More

Booked this tour for family members, as this tour covers the key sights I wanted them to be able to experience. They had a great time and really enjoyed the experience. Organisation was perfect starting from online booking, pick-up from the hotel and sufficient time at the outdoor baths. This tour is the perfect option for a full day overview... More

I traveled alone in Iceland in the end of April. So many tour didn't available, except for Saga company. And they reply the E-mail really soon I felt so sweet in that time. Of course everything was excellent for the "CAVE EXPLORATION LOFTHELLIR WINTER CHALLENGE". Really highly recommend Saga in Iceland.

My friend and I visited Akureyri during March and joined two tours with Saga Travel. The first one was Lake Myvatn tour and we were picked up from the airport. The tour only had 6 ppl which was really good cuz it felt like a private tour! After the tour, we soaked at the Jarbordin nature baths, super relaxing!! Nonetheless,... More

We really enjoyed the Cave Tour with our 11 year old daughter. I was great to go out there in the middle of the snow by the large volcanoes. The cave is a bit like an obstacle course with various tests. Not advised if your are not fit or over obese since there are some narrow passages. Overall we had... More

I had booked to visit the Ice Caves close to Lake Myvatn with my Girlfriend, unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst a couple of days prior to our visit, meaning huge snow storms on the first week of Icelandic Summer :( Nether less we pursued to complete the activity, My girlfriend & I met Siddi at the...
