The Park is a great place, and a mirriad of different paths to follow around on a good day. The tower is very good for views also. You can walk up the stairs if you are feeling fit, as we did. But, there is an elevator also, for a fee.. I selected no fee.. as you can go up for... More

After visiting Tampere Cathedral in Finland take an about 2 km long walk up to ridge of Pyynikki, which is the highest gravel ridge in the world. Pyynikki started as a park and place of natural beauty since the 1830s and the first cafe within Pyynikki was opened in 1868. Nowadays it’s quite nice place both for local visitors and... More

Nice place to go with family or friend anytime you want. Walking or jogging plus you'll get to see the Tampere view and feel close to the nature. Easy to reach by public transport. Nice & fresh doughnut and coffee

Pyynikki national park is worth a walk. It's not huge, but see where the route goes and stay uphill so you'll avoid the steepest parts. Or do the opposite and walk up and down the locally famous stairs. Afterwards have cup of coffee or a glass of soda and a doughnut, which are also available as vegan versions! Then climb... More

This is one of the nicest places in Tampere. The park is great with some nice lake views, it's not too big and you really can't get lost. Entrance fee to the observation tower is cheap (2€ adults) and the 360 degree views from the top are great. The main thing, I suppose, are however the delicious and cheap (1,90€... More

Been there many times and every time the view from up top is beatiful. They also make their own "donuts" so its all fresh and warm every time you want one. During the summer it's very popular and very crowdy. Also watch out for bees! Not to forget its in the middle of the beatiful forest where a lot of... More

This is the small cozy cafe with tasty donats. They make them with their own recipe. Donats are "best in the world". The Observation tower is in pine forest between two lakes. There are several nice paths in the ridge. Not far from Tampere center. This is the Place to visit.

Went here to check out the beautiful view. We were not disappointed in the view. The cafe was closed. The sit down restraunt was a little expensive but if you eat there entrance to the tower is free. Getting there was easy. Overall worth it if you eat at the tower overpriced at 5 euro a piece if you do... More
