I took a walk along the lake from town then up through the tranquil forest to the observation. The view are stunning of the city and surrounds. Afterwards I ended up indulging in two of the donuts on offer in the cafe beneath the tower. Not being a big donut eater I started off with one and enjoyed it so... More

I'm American married to an Englishman, visiting from England. Our Finnish friends took us here for donuts and coffee and a walk through the forest. The cafe is lovely and friendly, and the donuts are better than my beloved Krispy Kreme! Different - a bit bread-ier, and laced with a hint of cardamom. I'm in love. Our delicious donuts were... Definitely worth visiting, the best beach in Tampere! Lot of space to sunbathe and enjoy the water. There is also a cafe from where you can get drinks and snacks.

Enjoy nature and old trees in Pyynikki. If you like to run take your running gear with you and run around the park. After the jog try frehly-baked delis in a cafeteria and relax :)

This lovely and very unusual cafe is situated in on of the most beautiful places in Tampere, well Finland. The cafe is really small but there are tables outside and you can always buy take away and enjoy your coffee and doughnuts ( the best!) in the nearby situated forest. The cafe also has a sightseeing tower and if you... More

Visited this tower on winter time. Open all year round. The lift will take you to upper floor but you need to climb y a few steps yourself. Not suitable for a disabled person. Worth to visit because of the landscape that will open to you. The very top of tower with the scenery area is outside. You feel the... More

This cafe has been selected a few times as the best cafe in Tampere. The donuts are great if you just get them freshly baked (not always), but otherwise the selection is too limited. During the busiest days there is a long line outside.

Great hike for exercise and the elevation to see 360 degree view over the city. Doughnuts are good but not the best I have ever had.
