Small bakery-cafeteria in a historical observation tower. Cozy interior, excellent doughnut and friendly service - definitely worth of visiting. Located at the top of Pyynikinharju which is said to be the highest gravel hill left by the last ice age and it is 85 meters from lake Pyhäjärvi. There is fee for entering the observation tower.

Pyynikki ( Pronounced Puu-Nik-E) Tower is a small glimpse into the hardships endured during some of Finnish history. There is a wonderful bakery that has the best donuts (spiced with cardamom) and coffee. Its a nice walk down the hill to the lake if you are into hiking or a leisurely walk.

Have walked in the park with my family (two children, 8 and 2), very refreshing, though it was - 11, but we enjoyed park and view from observation tower. Also ate munki in the cafe of the tower, children enjoyed it. Must see place while visiting Tampere.

A lovely little cafe serving warm home made doughnuts. All you need is a cup of coffee, someone to chat with and luck with finding a seat and your afternoon is a succes. Will be back.

A must when visiting Tampere - amazing views from the tower looking over two lakes and the whole city. Try Finland's best doughnuts in the cafe!

We stopped by tampere for a day trip on our way to rovaniemi, left our bags in the locker, and walked to this park and observatory tower. It is about 2.5 km but there are shops and malls for about 1km plus stretch, and the last km you will pass houses, before approaching the park and it's tower. The doughnuts... More

The Park is a great place, and a mirriad of different paths to follow around on a good day. The tower is very good for views also. You can walk up the stairs if you are feeling fit, as we did. But, there is an elevator also, for a fee.. I selected no fee.. as you can go up for... More

After visiting Tampere Cathedral in Finland take an about 2 km long walk up to ridge of Pyynikki, which is the highest gravel ridge in the world. Pyynikki started as a park and place of natural beauty since the 1830s and the first cafe within Pyynikki was opened in 1868. Nowadays it’s quite nice place both for local visitors and... More
