The museum consists of multiple smaller museums, like a geological museum and a nature museum, that has stuffed animals to represent the Finnish wildlife. Vapriikki has a nice souvenir shop that sells all kinds of little things.

This "museum" contains a lot of different things. Hockey is a big part of it, but you will find a bunch of other things too. They change the "big" theme couple of times during the season? It's ok, but nothing astonishing really.

The different parts of the museum (a part about Tampere, another about rocks, wildlife, ice hockey, etc) make it a really interesting museum where everyone can find something interesting to them. I definitely enjoyed the ice hockey hall of fame where we could try ice hockey in a small room where we could take sticks and gloves and a puck... More

Had the most enjoyable day out in the modern and spacious Vapriikin museum centre, exploring its various exhibitions. Loved the fact you could learn so much under one roof! If you only have a few days at Tampere, this museum is a must see. Many interesting exhibitions, some of which are there to stay and some that change. Go and see relics of the Finnish "national sport" ice hockey, samples of Finnish nature, old and new shoes, or toys from the previous decades. When I last visited, there was... More
