Beautiful nature, clean beach and so soft sand to walk bare feet. If we only could trust in finnish weather and sun :) there would be no need to fly far away to Mediterranean to have a nice holiday by the sea and enjoy the sandy beaches, Yyteri beach surroundings would be enough and more ecological choice for finnish people.

Ok, let's face it if your looking for surf spots in Finland you're in the wrong end of the world. However, all is not lost. Yyteri is in fact one of the few places in Finland where you get a surfable wave at times although wind surfing and paddle boarding is in fact a more frequent choice around these parts.... More

Exceptional waterfront in these latitudes. When you walk towards Mäntyluoto direction, there is a reed bed area with variety of wading birds, swallows and swans etc. The woods behind the sand flourish withTwinflower (Linnaea) and Moneses uniflora (One-flowered Wintergreen). The area is beautiful either you walk in the waterfront or in the Nature Trail in the woods. And in a... More

Yyteri is like to be in Canary Islands, from the view. Be sure that there is a hot day, so You dont' freeze so much.

Go there in winter. Everyone knows how a beach looks like in summer (sun, blue water, sand and so on), what makes Yyteri truly exceptional is the winter. Go there and enjoy the gentle pink shades the setting sun throws in the early afternoon. Walk on the frozen sea and smile! This doesn't happen on most beaches you have seen!

The Yyteri beach is during summertimes a must-see in the Satakunta-region. The beach is excellent, the bottom of the sea is sand and the beach is very shallow, therefore child-friendly. The services are basic- ice cream and french fries. But it´s very popular to take your own food and a "blanket" where you can sit on with you. During summertimes... More

Fantastic beach stretching many kilometres - be pushed to find a better beach anywhere in Europe. Shallow water, perfect for children. However, services extremely poor. Very few places to change clothes on the beach, waste bins and toilets. Couple of kiosks and one hotel of dubious design. Non-locals beware, when you drive from Pori, there is a sign that says... Beach itself is great . Services on the beach are modest. Parking area is usually full in sunny and warm days. Even if the weather would be cold the water is often surprisingly warm because of very shallow beach. Beach is very suitable also for little children.

On a warm day this location is great. Safe for children to enjoy at most times but the waves can be suprisingly strong sometimes... The beach is it's not a typical finnish one! Beautifull location and still safe and cosy. Cool or windy day will feel very cold so a walk is fine but a picnic for example is out... More

Exceptional beach in Finland with sand dunes and fine sand over 6 km. Area has couple of cafes, restaurants and kiosks offering basic drinks, ice cream, grill food etc. Locker rooms are poor and shower cost 2 euros.
