Lovely small and gentle Muumin valley for small kids

Moominworld is must place to be if you are Finnish-born kid. Moomins have special meaning for all kids in Finland and this place focuses just on that. Houses are authentic looking and you can visit them inside. Everything is like in books and tv-shows. There could be couple more restaurants, we had to stay in queue quite long. The place... More

We took our two - 3 and 18 months and they loved it. There are lots of houses and places for the kids to look around and play in. No 'don't touch' signs anywhere and nothing of any sort of danger. There are constantly things starting where the characters come out and have tea parties or tell poetry etc. Children... More

Wau, it was my first visit to Moominworld, at age of 66 :-) It was so moving to see how children talk to Moomin, how they eyes shined talking to them. All the time there were some action with Moomin personage and one feel like walking in the theater scene! You can talk with them, they talk to you and... More

Long story short, the Moomins are out to get your money. Entrance fee is 27 euros per person, adults and children alike. The park itself has no rides, and very few things to actually do unless you're a toddler. To be sure, if your kids love Moomins then they'll enjoy the day. You on the other hand might end up... Even though we visited the Moominworld in a weekend, and all thogh there were a great many people at the location, we did not feel that Moominworld was too crowded. There were many things to do and see, and we spent the whole day there. The restaurants and cafes are a bit expensive, but it is possible to bring ones... More

The place itself is nice but terribly pricy. The entrance free is 27E (everybody over 2 years old pays). Then there's 8E for parking. Everything inside has crazy prices. Facepainting 5E for a 2 cm drawing. Food is overpriced too (and not so good). Let's not even talk about the Muumi shop!!! Prices are 3 times than in the supermarkets... More

It's a nice place to go for kids (as well as adults of course). You can meet the characters of Moominworld and get to visit their house and other buildings at the Moominworld. In summer you can swim there as well, there a lake surrounding the tiny island. There are lots of food joints but they sell only fast food... More

Even though the entrance fee is quite high Moominworld is definitely a place to visit! Both kids and adults will enjoy: there's lot to do and you can decide yourself what to do and in what order.. There's also programmed shows e.g. theatre plays, sing-alongs, story telling by Snufkin etc. A place to spend an entire day!

Moominworld is great for children as an experience. I have two daughters who both love Moomis and the experience for them was great. There was the Moomin house, the Moomins, playgrounds and some shows. The total price for the Moominworld is quite high. The tickets cost 27€ per person (under two year olds are free) and at the same time... More

It is exhilarating when your childhood dreams come true! Growing up as a nomad in different countries/ continents, I never read/ watched Disney or Marvel. I read the Moomins. As a foreigner growing up in different African countries the Moomins appealed to me, because - like the Moomins - I tried to find acceptance and understand the world while living... More
