We walk around the island in search for a perfect spot to dip in the sea... Friend's pup was having a great time swimming with us too. The old home back in the days are still solid standing. A perfect place for a run/jog...

This island is only a 15-minute ferry-ride from Helsinki. The ride alone is memorable enough And the island boasts a small lake, clean enough to swim in..............a barbeque hot-spot.............and several parks. Lovely in the summer............but I would NOT advise going there in the winter :=))))))))))))

Well presented buildings within the museum, good signage and information. Staff answered questions politely and in detail. We attended some productions in Finnish involving ballads, music and drama which were excellent all provided within the ticket price. It was easy to get the bus 24 from Helsinki center, saw Sibelius Monument from bus and stopped off on return. As it... More

We enjoyed our walk around this island. Didn't pay for the museum as you can see most of it while walking around. Very peaceful and relaxing

We visited Seurasaari Island on a tour of Helsinki. This was the highlight of our day. Seeing the different types of houses was a real treat.

I went there 3rd time with my 2 children. We walked around the island, not pay the museum area, but there was still lots to look. We stopped to swim at "naked swim place" because there was swimsuit-day and it was free of charge. Water was warm. Kids loved to see swan family and lots of other birds. Squirrels are... More

Get Bus 24. Dont bother with the so-called Art Cafe near where you get off, but cross the bridge and enjoy a lovely day. Edutainment - you dont have to interested in the history of Finnish buildings to enjoy it. Take your swimming stuff aswell.

On a very hot day we took the bus, No 24, out here and wandered around under the trees with lovely breezes smelling of the sea. We visited nearly everything and chatted with the guides in the open building The buses are every 20 minutes and operate exacly to time. A lovely afternoon.

We wish we could have stayed for lunch but ran out of time. It's an interesting way to get some history of the region. Tip: get the commuter ferry over and not one of the tourist boats - you will save around 10 euros :-)

I've never been there when the outdoor museum was open, but strolling around the island, looking at the old finnish buildings from all over the country already gives a sense of the history present. I especially enjoy walking along the southern tip of the island though, where there are almost no tourist, only a few joggers, it becomes more quiet.... More
