This place used to have lockers where you could safely lock your things -well, not anymore!! You have to leave your shows and big bags to the side, but it doesnt feel so safe. There is now children's playroom, which is of course nice, but not as necessary as lockers would be. The ice is good and well maintained because... More

Compared to sitting in a cafe and having drinks and a cake this was more fun and a lot cheaper, 10 euros for skate hire an an entire days access to rink, we skated round for a couple of hours until exhausted, great enjoyable fun..

We paid 10 euro each for skate hire and entry and this included the use of a little stand to help our four year old get around easily. The ice was cleaned whilst we were there so no probs as previously described. The boys skated for the first time with their dad for about an hour or so, had a... More

The Ice rink in the railway square is a great idea and very populr, but is kept in very poor condition. The ice is not cleaned often enough. When I visited the ice park on a Monday afternoon the ice had many holes and cracks and you could clearly see that the ice had not been cleaned for several hours.... More

We didn't do any skating at the park plus there wasn't much to see at the time when we were there so we didn't rate it so highly. It is located in front of the central railway station and great many great architecturally stunning old buildings, see for your self.

Wrong place for icescating, expensive. The "national A. Kivi" square should be used for better purposes like World Willage Festival.

This place is wonderful. You can bring your own skates and use the rink for 6 euros per adult or 4 euros per child. If you want to hire skates it's just 5 euros for all sizes. They even have events such as hockey games, icerobics and DJs which you can scheck up on their website. If you don't want... More

We travelled to Finland with our two children for a white Christmas and Helsinki was our first stop before going on to Lapland for Christmas. We loved Helsinki and it is now one of our favourite European cities. Before our trip the kids and I went ice skating at our local rink in Australia in preparation for our holiday and... More

Such a good idea to put a icescating rink in the middle of the square at central railway station. The cafe that you can rent your skates from has awesome coffee. That same cafe is moved to the beach at Aurinkolahti in the summer.
