Surrounded by impressive buildings, this is a place to take it all in, relax on the steps of the Lutheran cathedral, watch the world go by. It's not to be missed.

it is the image of Helsinki. the cathedral and the square are a perfect place to seat in the stairs and enjoy a relaxing moment after a long walk in the city.

One of the sides of this square is the white church and rest are the govt houses, main building of Helsinki university etc., don't forget to the take the panoramic photographs of this place :)

Wide square, surrounded by old architetured buildings, with a magnificent church at the top. The place is a "most see" place in Helsinki.

We enjoyed the afternoon photographing the historical building, the surrounding buildings and subjects too. Lovely to walk around the square and chill out.

Quite spectacular. Overlooked by the Lutheran Cathedral and a number of nice restaurants and coffee shops as well as souvenir shops. The small Orthodox church just beyond the Cathedral is also worth a visit.

This place is the centre of the city. There are must make pictures of those who were in the Suomi capital.

Nice little square where you can get good pictures of the cathedral. Theres a nice statue of Alexandrae and thats about it!

We went to the Christmas Market at the Square but it was a bit boring. The same products are on sale at many stands. I missed the real Christmas markets stuff. There was only one stand with food and another for drinks, I would have enjoyed a drink with my food. We ate something and then left.
