The station is spacious, clean and authentic. Other than that, it is a train station. Not sure what else to say.

I know you might be tempted not to visit a train station unless catching a train, this train station is beautiful, the architecture it's exquisite and it's a great place to take amazing pictures. Worth visiting if around the area.

While there's obviously many transport options from the station including the trains, trams, metro and buses, it's building's fantastic architecture which earns 5 out of 5. From the massive figures standing guard over the entrances to the imposing clock tower high above, this is one of my favourite buildings in Helsinki. There are also several shops and places to eat... Some stalls and food for sale. We were looking for a breakfast place to sit down and I saw a video of a buffet place in the middle big hall, but there is now a BK now, also fine, they serve nice breakfast items.

Helsinki main railway station is also a metro station. There is a bus stations on both sides of the main station building. It is the center of transportation in Helsinki. There are two regular bus connections between Helsinki Central railway station and Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Building itself is really beautiful and massive. The station building was designed in 1919 by Eliel... More

Helsinki Main Railway Station, used by 200,000 passengers a day, is an important historical landmark in itself. The present building was designed by Eliel Saarinen to a national romanticist design and opened in 1919. The addition of the overall glass roof in 2000 has brought respectability to the terminus, fitting for a capital city. The summer garden features turn the... More

Lots of interesting features but hard to appreciate with all the cloths cloaking the reno underway. Would like to revisit some day to see the finished product. Note: Helsinki's beauty does not scream at one or overwhelm you. But is has lots to offer.

Great building reminding me the central railway station of Milan, it's the point of arrival and departure of Finnair buses and local ones. There's more than one entrance and shops inside. The interior is simple but elegant. A significative building for sure!
