Architecture is interesting but there is nothing that special inside of The building. However its a nice place to wait a train and grap a coffee.

We changed from airport bus to tram here at the station, which is beautiful and looks to be full of interesting history. The inside and outside alike are a draw. We had to ask someone where to get the trams, so having maps really helps a lot in this city!

We walked through the rain to view this beautiful work of art deco architecture. The statues outside were covered for renovation but the views inside were ample reward for getting wet. The main ticket/waiting room is inspiring. If you have an interest in railway station architecture and design then Helsinki Central is a must see.

You need to look above you to appreciate this lovely building. Unfortunately building work was going on at the front but it was still a pleasure to pass through. Clean tidy friendly just like Finland !!

Located in the city centre of Helsinki the train station is kind of a unique building from its architecture, inside as well as outside. Just stay away from this area in the evening especially at the weekend when this place is populated mainly by drunk people and the floor is covered by waste.

The train was easy to find. The timetables are very easy to read. A kiosk, coffee bar, hamburger bar etc...

The building is beautiful, spacious and clean. Everything works perfectly, and the trains wonderful. Staff was helpful when we need to decide what type of ticket was more convenient.

During our walk to visit Helsinki Market Square along with the various beautiful buildings, we were told that we must make a stop at the Railway Train Station. So we did. This impressive landmark is located in the central Helsinki and has become the main railway station. The front of the building is dominated by four male statues holding some... More

The building is a part of Helsinki famous architecture, by Eliel Saarinen, and the four "stone men" around the main entrance outside have got a new life as railwayambassadord in railway ads. You might peek into (nowadays) Burger King, which hosts a famous fresco by Eero Järnefelt, depicting the Finnish national landscape at Koli in North Carelia.

Unless you're catching a train, or meeting someone arriving, enjoy the interesting architecture and the flanking statues from outside. Don't waste time going in. It's just a typical railroad station with the usual newsstands and fast food kiosks inside. The rest rooms are pay toilets. One Euro and they are absolutely filthy and smell of stale urine.
