Lovely attractive building that shows the architecture of its time. Tried to sneak a look inside but not successful. Worth a drive past

The city hall is a truly elegant building with dream color. The sky pale blue is just a relaxing and assuring color that is brilliantly chosen for the building. I find the building just next to the Cathedral in elegance. It is also overlooking the market square adding much value to the square. I did not get a chance to... More

The City hall has an exposition about the city self, most are in green. There is also an nice artwork to see, the tower of fingers. On the other side there's an photo exposition about "serpent" of Finland. The architecture inside the building is not really beautiful as we may expect it

Attending a congress in Helsinki, the Openingfunction were held here. The reception hall was so beautiful, especially the chandeliers hanging from the ceiing in all their splendour. You could not stop staring at them, and that really was welcome, having to listen to speach after speach! The interior of the whole building is worth a visit, and it is so well situated near the harbour.

We visited this on its opening day and thankfully there were few people there. We went back the following day and there were too many people really. But then it was Helsinki Day so undoubtedly not typical. The displays are very well presented and as well as providing information; it gives the opportunity to let the mind dwell on the... More

Not much here and nothing super attractive about the building. Tourist info desk and plenty of brochures plus clean toilets. Varying free exhibitions in main lobby.

We utilized the tourist information office located at Pohjoisesplanadi 19 - on the northeast corner of the esplenade - to find out how to get to one of the nearby national parks. The tour guide who assisted us (wish I could remember her name) did an excellent job describing which public transportation routes to take and provided helpful thoughts on... More

Came here for a wine reception following conference. Very spoilt, as the ballroom was beautiful, not sue if you can normally enter the premises but worth a look if you can!

Looking for a free toilet in Helsinki City? Seems like mission impossible - until you visit the City Hall. There is a changing display related to Helsinki, lots of info material to take with and very spacious and clean toilets. Don't let the receptionists scare you, this place is open for all.

This beautifull Helsinki City Hall is located right next to the main market place. Which is then located right in the centre of Helsinki. This area includes a lot interesting, the presidental palace, the orthodox church, the big white churc the whole Empire centre. City Hall is open for public and a good hint to know is there is spacious... More
