I suppose this is a very popular place for tourist groups to visit in Helsinki, as one can see both sides of the park lined up with tourists buses nearly any time on any given day. This is the place where all the tourists will be taken. An odd looking monument that took the health of the sculptor. A hefty sacrifice for the good of others. Close to the sea and around a nice area of Helsinki. Both the president and the prime minister have their residences close by. More

The monument is worth seeing also at night when it is lit up. The monument is situated in a nice green park and by the water. The walk along the water by the monument is also nice in the summer, nice view with boats and a quirky cafe along the way. More

This is a very interesting sculpture/monument in one of Helsinki's nice parks. The monument only takes a few minutes to see, but on a late afternoon with changing light the colors can be very nice. The surrounding park is very peaceful with nice tree coverage and is worth a visit if you have extra time. More

I wouldn't recommend going there just to see the monument, though it is the most interesting thing in the Sibelius Park. If you're at the Church in the Rock, it's worth the extra 10 minute stroll to this monument to Finland's best known composer. Elegant in it's simplicity, but don't make a special trip to see it if you time-poor. More
