Great place to spend a warm summer day, the main beached can be very crowded though, so if you're not willing to walk a bit and explore the areas you'll be stuck in a sea of towels. The water never gets really warm here, but if you're up for a swim in the baltic sea this is the place.

Favourite place to swim in the sea in Helsinki. About a 10 min boat ride away. Once you land, head to the cliffs on the other side. Wonderful views!

We spent half a day walking here with a picnic. Make sure you get out of the centre by tram, bus or walking and explore the beautiful parks and gardens

What an amazing park with tracking areas. It is closer to the sea, next to a cemetery. Try to be there on a sunset (I was there on September and the sun sets on the sea) and take amazing pictures.

If you love nature that's just where you have to go! After a short boat trip you will see that wonderful -very small0 island where you can relax and walk around! Take your BBQ staff, as there is a table and a place with wood(you have to chop it) and prepare lunch! There are no shops on the island so... More

Nice and cosy island to take sunbaths, have a lunch or cup of coffee. Short 10 minutes cruise to the island. The boat leaves at Kaivopuisto, return fare 6 euros. Worth every minute and penny.

Very nice nature and the beach. Not too many people in the summertime even when it is a hot day. A short and cheap boat trip

Good for longer trips for picnics or just swimming. Head to western side of the island, where the cliffs (not too steep) give you a nice place to observe the boat traffic and sunsets.

You can get to the island by boat. The easiest way is from Kaivopuisto, just outside the Café Carusel. This place is just amazing! The island is a mix of Finnish nature and great sandbeatch. Take a walk around the island and grab a cup of coffee with a traditional Finnish woffles (lettu) , finish your day with sunbathing and... More

A nice Oasis near the city, with excellent views, but not for bad feets. Boat connection from the Karusell Cafe in the Kaivopuisto Park. Check the boating times, short season.
