The stadium itself is amazing, but the tower was underwhelming. You need to wait in the queue and than squeeze in a small elevator in order to climb on the top of the tower. On the top, you also have very small space to move and I do not recommend it to people with claustrophobia. You can see the view... More

We took a bus here from the central station but you can walk it in about 15 minutes. You can go into the stadium and sit on the benches and imagine how it must have been like during the Olympics. It's a pretty cool feeling. They also have a high tower which you can take a lift up to the... More

A short stroll from the centre of the city. A great tower and great history of the Olympics. Well worth the visit

I visited the stadium because I was in the area and wanted to see the view from atop the tower. There was a 5 Euro charge to go up the Olympic Tower, which gives good views across the city. You can quite easily see most of the iconic sights of Helsinki from the tower, although its distance from everything else... More

This stadium is by modern standards not as large as the stadiums of today but it just as functional. Whilst there take the lift up the finishing tower for a great view over the city and the stadium of course. There is a fee for this but it is worth it. The Helsinki Games were significant as they were the... More

This was only a visit to the outside of the stadium as a photo stop but it was interesting to see the setting of the Helsinki Olympics. A little bit of history!

Although we considered there was nothing much to be seen there, since the Olympics were more than half a century ago in 1952, and also not expecting fabulous views from the tower we visited the Olympic stadium in absence of better ideas to spend 2 days in Helsinki, when everything else was done. The Olympic stadium and complex around was... More

If you have time to devote to this attraction - and to go inside - then it is well worth it. Many of the ship tours unfortunately only use this as a 20 minute photo-stop, which certainly does not do it justice. If you will only get the opportunity to snap a few shots of the outside of the building... More

A nice walk from city center but worth it. The views from the top of the tower is spectacular. Bottom floor has plaque with world records recorded at Stadium. Can even get a pic standing on top of winners platform. Can only imagine atmosphere being there such a short time after wwII

If you visit Helsinki this is one place not to miss out on. There aren't huge skyscrapers in this City so for the best view come here and visit the tower. You will not want to miss out on the views!!
