Sets you back 5 €, but as a trade off you get the best views of the City. 72 meters (or about 236 feet) high it's no skyscraper, but then again Helsinki's a pretty flat city, so the overall view is very nice, indeed. One of the definite places to visit. If you're really lucky you might catch a soccer... More

It's a nice view but that's all. A long walk from the centre of the city though. Peaceful area, we stayed in the stadium area but not worth seeing!

We visited the Olympic Stadium on a two day visit to Helsinki. The tower offers a nice view of the city, the stadium is standard and has little to offer for someone who has visited modern European stadiums.

Not much to see but from the top of the tower you can see all of Helsinki and it's interesting landscape as well as read about the Olympics that were hosted there. Nice quick stop!

On our city tour (not Hoponhopoff), the Olympic Stadium was just a photo stop so we didn't see much of this structure from the parking lot. We didn't even get off the bus! Really, this sight is just a little more than a driveby on the way to other sights in the area on some city seeing tours. The Olympic... More

Great to see this complex still in use more than 60 years after the 1952 summer Olympics. It still looks pretty good too. The sports museum is really interesting and the views of Helsinki from the tower are pretty good.

The stadium is interesting in the building simplicity and highlights how much we now pour into sports in western nations. I doubt the seats here have changed since the 1952 Olympics. It was great to go up the tower and see amazing views of Helsinki as well as to visit the statue of the Flying Finn. There was something about... More

You have to pay 5 EUR for a trip up the stadium tower. It's really worth the money - you have a great view. There is a lift which takes you all the way up, you only have to climb a short staircase to get out on the viewing platform.

I've spend here one of the most folkloristic moments of my erasmus. The Finnish team were playing an hockey match against Croatia (or maybe Russia). It was well organized: big tv-screen both inside and outside the building. Food and drinks everywhere. I don't know if the Stadium itself is good, but if you are in Helsinki when an hockey match... We were amazed to find out that this facility was built already in 1938 (before WW II and 14 years before it hosted the 1952 Olympic games). From the tower one gets a perfect view of the huge track and field stadium and the nearby soccer stadium, and the entire skyline of Helsinki. The tower top (about 22 floors) is... More
