I had been there the first time to attend the Athletics world championship in 2005. The stadium was built decades ago and is very old. It is small and very different from the vast modern stadiums that have been built to accommodate the recent olympic games and to host the most prominent foot-ball teams. However, it is a very friendly... More

We came here to go up the tower! However make sure it's a clear day! When we went up it was snowing and windy, almost a snow storm! But the lookout was fantastic and for €5 each it was a bargain. Try and get a selfie from the top and post it to their Instagram hashtag! Well worth it! Also... More

This attraction gives you the opportunity to take lovely photos of Helsinki from up high. Highest place I have found in Helsinki. If feels quite safe at the top even though it was old as nicely enclosed. Unfortunately during our visit the stairs were closed so disappointingly we had to take the lift :-( Coffee shop is closed on the... More

We actually went here to see a gig (Cheek live @ Olympiastadion ) so we did not look around as it was closed. Saying that, and after having seen inside the stadium, I wouldn't pay the money ir is to go up the tower. It's impressive but not overly so. From the point of view of the reason for my... More

It really is worth while to visit the olympic stadium tower, go up to the 72 meters without any fear, there are strong metal bars holding you in even on a heavy wind! The sight all over Helsinki is amazing, and a good place to take photos. Buses and trams will take you near enough to walk there.

The stadium itself is amazing, but the tower was underwhelming. You need to wait in the queue and than squeeze in a small elevator in order to climb on the top of the tower. On the top, you also have very small space to move and I do not recommend it to people with claustrophobia. You can see the view... More

We took a bus here from the central station but you can walk it in about 15 minutes. You can go into the stadium and sit on the benches and imagine how it must have been like during the Olympics. It's a pretty cool feeling. They also have a high tower which you can take a lift up to the... More

A short stroll from the centre of the city. A great tower and great history of the Olympics. Well worth the visit

I visited the stadium because I was in the area and wanted to see the view from atop the tower. There was a 5 Euro charge to go up the Olympic Tower, which gives good views across the city. You can quite easily see most of the iconic sights of Helsinki from the tower, although its distance from everything else... More

This stadium is by modern standards not as large as the stadiums of today but it just as functional. Whilst there take the lift up the finishing tower for a great view over the city and the stadium of course. There is a fee for this but it is worth it. The Helsinki Games were significant as they were the... More
