Tennispalatsi is huge place. If you just wanna see film and grab some snacks, usually everything works just fine. Even if there are lots of people, you dont have to wait too long. Bad thing is that, I think there are quite often some renovation going and some places blocked.

All films are in their original languages. All films cost 12.50 Euro. Very efficient ticket staff Good popcorn If you are in Helsinki in winter, might as well come here. It's a great way to pass the time instead of pubbing until going back to the hostel. Busy.

Quite interesting while lost in a big mall and looking at the map to discover that there is a museum of art as part of the 'shops'. A bit curious I decided to have a closer look. This is where I discovered a really nice and diverse exhibition from nature to self portrait, abstract and contemporary art, spread on 6... More

And there's more. Food, pubs, museums. Food is a basic fast food and suhsi. Some cinema halls are bigger than others. In principle, the smaller the number, the larger the theater hall. Pretty good sound reproduction and 3D. The halls and enough space to sit. Sometimes good deals films and themes (2 in the price of 1 and like tiddler... More

I visit this cultural and mercantile hub only for the art museum so can't say anything about the rest. I really like the museum and try to visit it as often as I go to Helsinki and have some free time. I've seen some excellent exhibits here. Highly recommended.

Tennispalatsi holds many things, like a big movie theatre of Finnkino (www.finnkino.fi), multiple fast food restaurants, a cafe, a pub, a sushi bar and two great museums, the other being for contemporary art. its easy to catch a movie and hang out. The art museum is my favourite, there has been so many great exhibitions. Go check it out if... More

The Tennispalatsi Art Museum is a great place to catch great exhibitions, at the moment there's Georgia O’Keeffe's work on display until 9.9.2012. The museums is pretty small-sized so you don't have to wander around for hours. The entrance fees are usually very affordable and the exhibitions are really interesting (Anton Corbijn, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, etc.)
