We took the bus to Seurasaari and despite the fact that our visit was off-peak, the place did not disappoint. We saw squirres, we saw old Finnish houses, we saw patches of snow. Enough to excite the parents and kids on our wee Helsinki walk. I can only imagine how pretty this place must be during other seasons. By the... More

I was really impressed with the beautiful nature , the old fashioned cottages, the ponds and the walk path around the island . The squirrels aren't very friendly , but it's still a good place for joggers and romantic couples. The little cafe is good but a bit over priced on traditional pastries.

You can easily go to Seurasaari by taking a bus outside Sokos. I haven't been to the Air Museum, but as you are walking the island you will pass a lot of traditional Finnish buildings that have been relocated from other places in Finland. At the end of the island and next to the sea there is a grilling area.

15-20 mins away from centrum, but direct bus and in every 20 mins there is a bus. Nice place there is small beach and walk around, If you like to walk around and check out old houses and read about them then this is perfect place. Very beautiful and pretty.

This island is nice, but it is nicer specially in Summer. We visited the island in April and it was quite cold for us and there was almost nothing open to buy something to eat. We went to see the bonfires of Easter an attraction that gathers quite many people to watch it. One tip go as close as to... More

This is great. Quite easy to get to on bus from the city center and it's beautiful to be walking around an island that is peaceful and calm after bustling Helsinki. I went in early April and it was cold and rainy- still great. As another review says, after you start walking across the bridge there's a path off to... More

A great place to have a walk and barbecue, even in winter. We usually go there in different seasons to barbecue or even for a walk.

Seurasaari is very nice place to have walk. There are some old buildings and a lot of hungry squirrels that are asking some nuts. So buy some before you go there. There are nice cafe nearby. Take your time and have fresh air at Seurasaari. You can go by bus there from the city.

We spent several hours wandering the pathways, carefully considering the transplanted houses, storehouses, tarboats etc in an inspiring display that cost us nothing at this time of year. Red and grey squirrels emerged almost on cue to be fed, photographed and admired.

This is a not to be missed in March Helsinki attraction. Catch the 24 bus from Helsinki centre to the bridge at Seurasaari - and then walk across to see just what it has meant to live through the harshest weather, all over Finland, since the 19th C. A bonus: you're sure to see red squirrels - not something you... More
