The atmosphere is incredible, relaxing, and informative. The buildings were really interesting and the guides were extremely friendly and informative. My buddy and I couldn't get enough of this place. If you love history and/or culture, this is definitely a must-see and an incredible introduction to Finland and Helsinki.

It doesn't hold a candle to Skansen in Stockholm, but the heavily wooded site on an island made it seem that we were far from Helsinki and gave a strong sense of old Finland. The church was definitely the high point.

You can see the beautiful scenery in the Helsinki. Fresh air. It is good to walk there around a hour.

If you ever visit Helsinki, Seurasaari is the best place to see old Finnish way of living in the countryside. There are many wooden houses from all parts of Finland. There are lots of birds and wildlife to be seen all over this beautiful island. You can sit down in a café or restaurant of Seurasaari and forget your worries.... More

This museum Island is connected to the beach by a bridge and is very easy to reach from the city center taking bus #24. The surrounding are beautiful but most impressive are the old Finnish houses and barns from the 17th century, that where collected from different parts of the country and re-built on the island. They depict the harsh... More

This attraction is not far from the city centre- only a bus ride away. The admission price is not very high and you only need it of you want to go in the buildings that are open and enclosures. A good idea of life in Finland in times gone past. There are people to explain the buildings or answer any... More

We visited in a multi-generational family group of six adults and five children with ages ranging from 60+ to 2. There was something here for everyone. we followed a way-marked trail visiting a number of historic Finnish buildings including a church, a manor house and a farmstead. Each of the buildings had a member of staff in traditional costume who... More

We visited Helsinki to experience midsummer festivities and found seurasaari to be a let down. The entry fee of 20 euros each was a surprise. If you wanted food it was a 45 minute queue for a boiled bratwurst and a tiny roll! Bring your own food. Viewing the bonfires was difficult due to the crowds and frankly they are... More

This is a beautiful woodland area crisis crossed with walking tracks. Lots of birds, squirrels and insects to be spotted as well as the old Finnish farmhouses, smithy, church etc. We had a wonderful walk with a tasty ice cream at the end. There were nice cafes too. It would be a great place to take children, although we very... More
