This park is located in the main street in Helsinki. Specially beautiful in Spring and Summer time it starts in the Harbour and ends up at the Swedish Theater. Some beautiful restaurants in the area and many attractions around. nice in Summer time to buy an ice cream and enjoy a little walk.

As I visited in the winter, I found that the park was average. It's quite nice during the night when all the lights are on. However, be careful when walking. It's so slippery, and many people (even the locals) slip. I'm told that during the summer it's much nicer. Regardless, it's nice just to walk through the park. There are... More

Sometimes it is compared to the Champs-elysées in Paris. This old Park, founded in 1812, has a special significance for the city, it is located in the centre and leads directly to Market square. This is sort of the point where the main tourist routes. The Park is a favorite place of walks for visitors to the capital during the... More

Esplanade (or Esplanades - North and South Esplanade), is the heart of Helsinki starting from Stockmann and Svenska Teatern and ending at Kappeli Restaurant and Market Square. Summertime as its best with flowers, park, terraces, cafés, restaurants, small open-air summer concerts. Also many boutiques of finnish and international brands. Full of people and tourists when the sun is shining.

I love the fact that this park is like a little haven of peace in the middle of the city. Its nice and quiet here, lots of fountains and some cafes along side. You can sit on the benches (although i wouldnt recommend it during winter as everything is covered by snow). The christmas decorations were beautiful there when we... More

During Christmas we visited Helsinki and this place. The christmas market was very nice, a lot of indigenous items are sold here.

On my way back from Tallinn by ferry to catch a flight the next day in Helsinki back to the UK. The area down by the harbour may look beautiful but WOW....the wind. Next time, I will bring thicker clothing and a hat. Nice to stroll about but I would rather freeze in Tallinn where the cafes and bars are... More

This place is great. A lot of benches, also when we visited at winter time our children could play snow there. Clean and easily accessed from public transportation. I attach 1 picture view to the marina from Esplanadi Park.

Every big city in Europe has a great park and this is it for Helsinki. Walk slowly from Manerheimintie down to the harbor, take a look at the majestic buildings with at least 2 centuries of Finnish modern history. You will love every moment spent here.

As with many European cities, Helsinki is no exception making the most of its waterfront. Esplanadi Park hugs the harbor offering a great opportunity to stroll along the harbor. In addition, there are several other attractions close by. Hakaniemi Market, Old Market Hall and the Tsarina's Stone are right there to name a few. Strolling and shopping in the park... More
