This is a wonderful space in the heart of Helsinki - from people watching to harbour views and everything you could want in this beautiful part of the capital - highly recommended.

This is a beautiful green space in the center of the city. Benches everywhere for you to sit, fountains, flowers, trees. It has it all. And its surrounded on all sides by restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, and shops. A wonderful place to sit down and watch the people of Helsinki go about their day, and also a nice place... More

This nice area is right in the beautiful centre of Helsinki. The park is beautiful and good in size. Lovely place to just stroll around or even have a picnic on the grass. The park is surrounded by high quality design shops. Do go and peep in.

I am trying to find out what is the name of the gift shop located next to the Esplanade Cafe? I would like to contact them regarding a pair of shoes I saw in the store.

One can spend hours at the Esplanade, just strolling down to the harbour, window shopping or lazing at one of the cafes, while listening to a live band. The market near the harbour has many interesting stalls selling crafts, jewellery, paintings etc. We took some beautiful photographs with the Uspenski Cathedral and the lovely blue sky as the backdrop.

Pleasant garden/park walk from/to ferry terminal. Well maintained and peaceful with plenty of seating and several cafes within it. Gives good views of surrounding buildings.

I don't shop a lot on vacations, but I couldn't help going into some of the design stores along this walk and tucked back onto the side streets. There is some fantastic talent in Finland, and I definitely spent a bit more than I intended on jewelry and scarves.

A stroll in the sun along the north side of the Esplanade is enjoyable. Pass the many cafes and restaurants with nylon line strung criss-cross over the tables to deter cheeky seagulls. The centre park itself may be a bit disappointing for those of us who come from warmer climates that provide us with lots of blooming flowers and shrubs... More

a beautiful walk and parkway that takes you from the waterfront and links you to the more modern city center. A great place to wander or just sit and enjoy the gardens, art works and the local buildings edging the park.

Nice for a walk, with some interesting cafes and buildings. Try to go when the indoor market is open so you can eat some traditional soup!
