to me it was among the best museums in town. It is like being in a private house. Beautiful furniture and paintings. Sure, it's not big, but really worth seeing!

The lovely little museum in the downtown of Helsinki. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the old house. When you leave the place you can have a nice little walk in Helsinki downtown or take a tram. Flea market of Hietaniemi is very near, go there in the nicesummer day!

This is a unique museum of baroque art. Formerly home palace of Sinebrychoff family. Now a part of national gallery, Ateneum. Recommended!

If you have time it definitely worth dropping in: cosy family house of Sinebrychoff keeps his amazing collection of medieval oil art (Rembrandt, Tiepolo etc).Besides there are some temporary modern exhibitions going on. For some reason this museum isnt marked on tourist information maps but we were lucky to find it by accident. You should check before going as they... More

It is a small collection. And they had to allow someone to ruin a few rooms of it with some modern art display over some rooms of the old paintings and it was freaky. Some nice pieces and the current exhibition on trees was also nice. Low grade gallery in comparison to Europes best but sweet enough.

Our recent visit to the Sinebrychoff Museum gave us a chance to see a powerful yet tender exhibit entitled Trees Are Poems featuring photography, drawing and painting. The rest of the museum was interesting as well, including an amazing collection of miniatures. Well worth a visit - especially if you enjoy older European art. That the more contemporary special exhibit... More

i have been to better art museums.Albeit the Sinebrychoff has an outstanding collection of Swedish oil paintings and miniatures. It has a nice sampling of Dutch oil paintings by the famous(Rembrandt,Goyen,Nicholas Maes) and the not famous(Jan Cool,Jan Van Noordt,Isaac de Joudreville). Its collection of Italian,German, and French paintings is somewhat sketchy, despite superb paintings by Cranach the Elder,Jurgen Ovens,Antoine Watteau,Giovanni Boccati, and Giovanni Castiglione. The lighting... This museum is in an old family home west of the center of the city. The family was in the beer making business and there is an exhibit in the basement relating to Koff Beer. The mansion lends itself to a museum. The top floor shows what the family home looked like in the 1920s--large furniture, overstuffed chairs, alot of... More
