it's a very pleasant walk from the railway station out to the Finlandia Hall, through a parklike area from the Kiasma modern art museum, passing by the modern Helsinki Music Center. The Finlandiia itself can not be visited inside except at events or with guided tours. But already the look from outside is great, given the fact that here a... More

Attended a four day conference at this venue at it certainly ticked all the right boxes. A great reception area, fantastic hall with great acoustics, and plenty of options for break out rooms. During the sessions, we were privileged to have the Sibelius Choir sing, and this is when we saw the importance of a building created for music performance.... More

An interesting buildung from the 70ies, typical style. Historically and politically important place. We did not find out how and when and if at all the inside can be visited.

One of the architect Alvar Alto major works. Finlandia Hall. Very famous house. Many conferences have been held in this house. One of the most famous was the CSCE in 1975. The house is covered with white marble. Many concerts have been held in the house. The acoustics are then another thing ......

Saw Tori Amos here for a two night residency. Spent the afternoon around the venue waiting for the meet and greet, they have far-reaching free wifi that you don't even need to register for! The bathrooms were clean and the staff orderly and just out of sight while the meet was happening. There is a café (Veranda) downstairs that we... More

The building is ugly outside but beautiful inside. The acoustics is good too. The lobby is large and has unusual layout with a long staircase leading to the big ticketing area, while there is a good shop on the entrance level. It is located not far from the railway station, and should be worthy of a visit.

This censert hall is finnish classic. European peace conferenc (ETYC) was held there year 1975. Nowadays its mostly consert hall. Acuctisc are not so brilliant, but who cares. Building itself is frear masterpiece of famlous finnish architect Alvar Aalto, so consentrate to upper sides of building and to lines of that white lines.

The building is another wonderful example of the architectural works by Alvar Alto. It is beautifully designed for a performance and a gathering place. I would love to attend a performance there as well.
