If you were simply walking down the street, you wouldn't notice this church. It is built into the surrounding rock and blends right in. Inside, the acoustics are fabulous. It's worth a look inside.

This is an architectural gem and a must see site in Helsinki. My son was married there and my granddaughter baptized there. We have attended concerts there and the acoustics are excellent. Summer weekends are filled with weddings so the casual tourist may have to wait a while to get in.

In spite of large numbers visiting this unusual designed church has a spiritual feel that is missing in many large historical churches. We were fortunate to visit while a pianist was playing some lovely Grieg pieces.

Wonderful church, free entrance, gorgeous acoustic; specially I love the small springs of water coming out from the raw stones behind the altar. The simplicity but effect of the golden roof is very nice as well.

Not saying it wasn't worth a stop, but personally it didn't take long before I felt as if I had seen all there was to see. Piano player added to serene atmosphere and the candles as well as the copper dome on top was rather lovely, but not something that made me want to stay an extended amount of time... More

There was a pianist playing the morning we were there and it was wonderful to sit there and just soak it in. It is a beautiful church and I don't usually like modern ones that much, but the design if great. Worth a visit' and it is near shopping for souvenirs if that is wanted.

We had one day in Helsinki and everyone told us this is one attraction not to be missed. Stunning! Blasted in the huge granite rock in the middle of a residential complex, this church is a miracle of acoustics and architecture. The entrance is free (this is a working church) and there was a piano concert on when we arrived.... More

The Rock Church is an absolute must see while in Helsinki as it is incredibly awesome & inspirational in its simplicity! The Rock Church is by far the most worthwhile site to visit if in Helsinki. If you see nothing else, do visit this church.

Due to the lack of tourist stops in Helsinki, this place is packed with cruise ships bus tours. I feel bad for the church and the neighbors. It is not the easiest place to find parking people are very rude by climbing on the roof and talking in the church. It is interesting and the piano music was a nice... More

This is probably one of the most visited places in Helsinki. Totally built of stone....worth seeing just because of its' unusualness.
