EMMA is the modern art museum in Espoo, and worth a visit in itself, but the same WeeGee building - a huge old factory totally renovated - houses several museums with interesting changing exhibitions. There's something for everybody, whether you are a toddler or a senior citizen or anything in-between! The modern art museum in itself is good and always... More

Permanent Saastamoinen Fund collection is quite versatile and unique but changing exhibitions are usually interesting. Old factory is quite personal surrounding for groovy art pieces.

You can see in Emma that Finland is not only Nokia. EMMA is the best modern art museum in Finland. There are also many museums in the same building, which is a former printing factory. It,s a must.

I really liked this museum - my only complaint was that we got their about an hour and half before closing and could not do the entire museum. Many one of kind presentation and interactive pieces that you will likely find no where else. The museum is well laid out and you can view many pieces without climbing any stairs!... More

EMMA is housed in a former printing factory building. Unfortunately, due to the low ceilings, this is not suitable for showing fine art. The building is limited in this way. There is very little natural light. There seems to be a permanent collection of work by local artists, much of which is mediocre at best. This would be expected in... More

Must see when you are in Espoo (just outside of Helsinki). The collection is a good representation of modern day Finland.

Ok to kill an hour or two, however a large portion is fairly confusing to someone unfamiliar with Modern Art. The Futuro "exhibition" felt really childish and/or mediocre especially because barely any background information was provided. The house itself is pretty unimpressive. The Juhani Harri exhibition was rather extensive but partly quite disturbing. Not my cup of tea as I... More

There is almost always something for everybody here. Art museum, toy museum, clock museum and Espoo city museum (changing exhibits). They also have workshops and stuff I haven't been to.
