Cruising with Inari III boat in lake Inari is the most boring cruise like ever! It lasted totally 3 hours, mostly due to terribly slow boat, only 6 knots! 20 min. in the destination, just walk up to the hill (frankly speaking, nothing special to see) and then the same slow boat trip back. What a waste of time!

It is difficult to put into words just how we felt to stay here albeit for a short while. The lake is simply stunning and to watch the sun go down over it is , well , quite mesmeric. There is also a river boat trip that you can take and whilst I didn't go on it myself my wife... More

Lake Inari is beautiful with some fantastic walks in the area. The Lake cruise is also worth doing (22 euros each) but you get a wonderful view of the lake

Its just a flat white area, but in there, you can drive snowmobile, you can just walk around and feel the power of nature. and at night, it provides the best area for you to wait for the famous northern light. Even I was unlucky to see the northern light there, I spent a good afternoon just by walking around,... More

The lake was frozen of course, to a depth of about 80 centimetres, and so during the day you will see snow mobiles, skiers, sleds, reindeer, and even a few snow surfers. At night tourists congregate in the pub just off the lake, and when someone sights an aurora everyone heads onto the lake for some fantastic photographs. they also... More

We travelled across the frozen river several times by snow mobile and what great fun it was. All part of a fab holiday.

We went on a fishing trip on the lake with Markku and about 12 other tourists. Had a fun day, driving with a snow mobile to the old church next to the lake. Tried to catch fish in blazing snow and rain and, although no-one caught anything, we could still enjoy hot fish soup and fresh bread in a hut... More

Nice place, nice people. Many things to do. I especially liked our snowshoe trip on top of a fell. Beautiful view over lake inari.

If you're looking for a beautiful and peaceful destination for kayaking/boating/fishing in Lapland look no further. There are over 3000 islands in this huge lake and most of them are totally uninhabited. There are many free well equipped camping areas to choose from. You can sleep in the wilderness cabins but it's better to have you own tent too. The... More

The lake is awesome for seeing the aurora, there's some very nice spots. Our recommendation: check out the lake by day, find a couple of nice spots to see the aurora (away from the street lights for instance) and then you know where to go at night to really sit back, look up and enjoy!
