For sure, the Kvarken archipelago is a unique place and really deserves its World Heritage distinction. Not just for geology buffs, but also for the insight it gives into the very tangible effect that climatic change can have on our environment, and - of course - the beautiful landscapes it provides. Access is now easy thanks to the new bridge.... More

I've done several guided cruises to the Valsörarna Islands along the slalom route through the rocky de Geer moraines in Svedjehamn - it´s always exciting if we'll make it this time - we haven't hit a rock yet, but one day it may happen.
