It has, at first glance, entire fighter aiplanes, as well as detailed parts; Swedish cold war history elements, and, of course, interactive fun. This last category is mostly aimed at children, but my friends and I enjoyed it regardless. What really caught my interest is... More

My children enjoyed a lot of types of airplanes, helicopters, rockets etc. They also learned much on flight simulations, force by air, principles of airfoils etc. My wife and I learned a lot regarding history of cold war, and Swedish position at that historical moment.

Went on a private tour which was really good and informative. Did not have the option to spend more than one hour in the museum but I could tell from the tour that the museum is really good for all ages and plenty of things to see and learn. Next time I will go to Linköping I will come back... More

Fantastic. This place was excellent and good to take kids along too. Well laid out. Planning to go back and take another look around.

The Flygvapenmuseum was really excellent. It's a well spaced-out museum with several exhibition areas and pleasant shop and cafe (which stops serving lunch at 2pm, though). The DC3 story was very well told and very moving, and the display of the plane fascinating and depressing. There were various extra rooms off the main display and these were aimed at Swedish-speakers,... More

Great kids section and displays overall. Make sure to head downstairs in the museum to see the recovered aircraft from the Cold War. Their cafe has affordable and delicious food too!

This is a flashback for anyone with some relation to aviation. Whether you have flied or not, doesn't matter, you've seen an heard the machines. Here you can get really cose to oldtimers and you can even sit in some of them. Detailed information is available for nerds. One exibition which is particularly interesting is the one on the days... The exhibition with the DC-3, that was shoot down over the Baltic during the Cold War was terrific and terrifying! The feeling of being under water with the plane right by your side... Fantastic!

Liked it all! Fun for everybody. Interesting. A bit too much struggling at the flyglabbet but otherwise very well organized.
