For almost 800 years people have been coming to worship and pray at Linköping Cathedral. Work on the Cathedral was started in 1230, with the main building works being completed in 1520. The belfry and the west façade were added in 1885. Linköping Cathedral is the most impressive and expensive Swedish church building of the Middle Ages. Within the church you can see evidence of almost 800 years in which master craftsmen have expressed their faith in wood and stone

In the old days this cathedral must have been a fine example of northern catholicism. Now the contemporary restoration has taken away the spartan elements that are still silent witnesses of how it must have been.

A nice mideval church. The paintings in the sealing is really nice. It will take you about an hour to visit the church IF you want to take you time to wander around and look att everything

I love visiting the cathedral. It is amazing how free you are to walk around and experience what there is to see. Often there is someone inside playing the organ, which is absolutely amazing. I love the high ceilings. I love looking back hundreds of years to where young choir boys sat against the walls and scratched their names into... More

I visit churches and cathedrals for their historic importance, and while I grew up close to this one totally oblivious to its greatness and importance, I have learned to appreciate it - a very nice cathedral, dating back to the 13th century.

Walked in during the middle of Sunday afternoon and was very happy to be treated by the rehearsal for a Bach oratorium the same evening. Even without that: Vaux le voyage!

I was completely blown away by the magnitude of the place. The outside doesn't do the inside justice and I was mesmerised by the beautiful architecture, reliefs and artefacts. If you can spare the time enter and enter a world of beauty and tranquility.

This Cathedral is something else. It has often art exibitions in house, many masses during the day and lots of Concerts of large classical masterpieces by the great masters. There is an art one have to see when visiting, it is to the left, a home less man laying near the wall.

It's a must-see attraction in Linkoping. It's a stunning, beautiful architecture. You can always find something shining even you've been there before.

It is a beautiful Gothic church in the town centre, worth visiting, if you have a few spare minutes.
